So what’s Shadow Catchers about? I’m really curious!
Ooh yeah no problem! I rewrote the initial “summary” of the story a couple days ago, it’s a bit long but here’s the whole thing:
Sheila is a 19-year old prodigy who has been accepted into the prestigious DAA, otherwise known as Demon Arts Academy. The DAA a very special and renowned school dedicated to the study and training of Shadow Catchers, who exist to destroy the “demons” known as Shadow Reapers. Following her mother, who was revered for her skill and is now a legend at the school, Sheila longs to live up to her legacy and find out why she disappeared so many years ago. Along for the ride with her is her best friend, Chloe, her childhood friend Brendan, and her cousin Hawke. At first things are easy—taking classes and extracurricular lessons are simple and come naturally, but everything turns upside down when Sheila is suddenly confessed to by a boy in her class named Aaron. Aaron comes with his own world full of problems—an illness that constantly sends him to the hospital, an unwavering determination to become a Shadow Catcher despite the risks, and a jealous best friend named Nura who desperately wants Sheila to fail at everything in life. Not to mention that Aaron refuses to leave Sheila alone, and he might possibly be the biggest airheaded moron she’s ever had the displeasure to meet. On top of that, Shadow Reapers have started to infiltrate the school, and with their newfound abilities to shapeshift into people by sneaking into their shadows, learning how to fight them will be nearly impossible! Sheila and Aaron definitely have their work cut out for them. When they stumble across a path of secrets leading to the truth behind the Shadow Reapers, their Shadow Reaper Queen, and a whole new world for them to discover, things won’t ever be the same.
LONG STORY SHORT it’s about a special school that trains people into becoming full-fledged Shadow Catchers so that they can hunt and dispatch of the demons that appear in their world from a mysterious dimension, the Shadow Reapers! Sheila’s mom sorta helped start the revolution against them and now it’s become a full on war;;But yeah the story is mostly about Sheila and Aaron and how they learn to fight Shadow Reapers while dealing with their own confusing feelings for each other. Aaron’s had a crush on Sheila since 10th grade, while she had no idea he even existed lol (mostly because he was out of school a lot and stuck in the hospital RIP). They start to learn more and more and eventually discover a huuuuuge secret that leads them into the Realm of the Shadow Reapers, where they confront the Big Truth™️ about everything and it just might be enough to destroy everything they’ve worked for :’)
I’m really excited to start putting out content for it, it’s one of my favorite original ideas next to ATS and I’ve missed it a bunch so! I’m glad I decided to reboot it ^^ Thanks for asking!
