im not sure if anyone has talked about this but its driving me insane.

In the JLU episode “the man who has everything”, its supes birthday and diana and bruce go to visit him. bruce just gives him, like, a hundred dollar bills, claiming he doesnt know what to get him. diana, though, was going to give him a rose before it got crushed in battle. all she says is, “theres a new type of rose called ‘the krypton’” or something like that. nothing much else.

In the og comic of the same name, its bruce who gives him the rose.

not only that, he admits that he fucking INVENTED a new breed of rose for him!!! this part has been mentioned before, but thats not my point.

im not sure why they changed it, but i might have an idea.

i have a theory that the showrunners saw this shit and went “this is TOO gay even for them. we cant put this in the show, just have the woman do it. we cant have the kids getting any funny ideas” which is so fucking funny but also fucked up. let the men have their romantic gifts and i think they should revive the show and have an episode dedicated for just bruce and clark to have romantic evening to compensate for this #wakeupamerica #censored

You’re a regular office worker born with the ability to “see” how dangerous a person is with a number scale of 1-10 above their heads. A toddler would be a 1, while a skilled soldier with a firearm may score a 7. Today, you notice the reserved new guy at the office measures a 10.

You decide it’s best to find out what you can about this person. Cautiously, you approach his desk. He’s a handsome man, tall, but with a disarming smile. How could such a friendly guy with such cute, dorky glasses be dangerous?

You extend your hand. “I noticed you’re new here. What’s your name?”

He shakes your hand warmly. His gaze is piercing, as if he’s looking right through you. “The name’s Clark,” he says. “So, how long have you worked for the Daily Planet?”

This one wins.

It’s been a few weeks, and one of Clark’s friends shows up.  She’s pretty and all, enough muscle that she must work out.  First thought would be that she should be maybe a 6.

Clark’s introducing her around.  “This is my good friend, Diana, she’s in from out of town.”

You blink, and take a step back in fear.  You’ve never seen an 11 before.

IT GOT BETTER

Sameer and The Chief quickly volunteer as their time with Diana have inspired them to fight for a cause. Charlie, however, hesitates. You see Charlie can’t shoot anymore. His PTSD is too overwhelming and he’s afraid he’s become useless. “Maybe you’ll be better without me,” he says, pained by the idea that he’s too “broken” to help.“But who will sing to us, Charlie?” Diana asks. It’s a simple question that brings a smile to Charlie’s face, a song in his heart, and the group continues on their way.

On the surface, it’s a tender moment. One that shows just how close this group has become since dropping onto the front lines of World War One. But with one simple line, Wonder Woman has redefined what it is to be a man.

Patty Jenkins’s Diana, doesn’t ask Charlie to continue to fight for her. She doesn’t need him to kill for her. She doesn’t try to encourage him or make him feel guilty for not being able to kill anymore, or turn him away because he can’t. She simply asks him to do what he can. Fantastical, samurai, warrior, justice trinity thing! I think an adventure featuring a version of Superman and friends set in a fantasy driven Edo/early Meiji Japan would be fun. Beyond that I honestly have no idea what this is supposed to be you guys… :/

I drew the first image (the one with the green smoke and them all in profile) back in 2013. I ran across it on my computer and I thought it looked kinda cool so I decided to make prints and take it to Heroescon. I got really great feedback so last week I drew these character designs and illustrations kinda based off the style of the original drawing. :D

I had no idea I wanted this, but I want this very very much.

it’s been over two years (!!) since i did a short comic about wonder woman and cosplay that some of you may remember! (you may also remember the piece that sarah and catherine satrun did the same year that i definitely had in mind while i did this one!) a lot of things have changed about me since then, including my art! so i decided to return to the theme in a happier way.  we’re all wonder women!
