Why short hair?

Merida was a young, teenage rebel. In the movie, she was always against the way of princess lifestyle. And her hair show this very good - in her times woman should braid her hair, cover them - but she always had this “mess” on her head.

What would modern Merida do? She would cut her hair, because many of people would say to her - you have such a lovely, curly, red hair, you should be so proud, don’t shave it, cut it…

But she would surely do that. That fits her character.

Finally I managed to finish my Leyendecker inspired Disney Princess drawing! 

I’ve learned a lot working on this, so looking at it now I can already see mistakes and things I want to fix, but I’d rather take that knowledge and put into a new drawing than continue to work on this or it would never be done!

princess time!

so about three years ago i made a bookmark with most of the princesses that were on the adventure time cast at that point. since then, adventure time has really grown, and the cast hast blossomed with it, so i thought i’d challenge myself to see if i could make a piece with all the current adventure time princesses in it! (or at least, all the ones from the show, sorry boom studio princesses!)

in total, there are 33 princesses in this print. for a full list of them, see its storenvy page.

i’ll be taking this print with me to san japan where i’ll be at table E10. i also have this available as a preorder in my store. i’ll start shipping these out after san japan is over.

My second entry for Month of Love!  This week’s theme was favorite love story and I gotta say, it was too hard to pick just one out of the twenty some-odd that I came up with.

I always come back to the knight/noble lady trope because I’m cheesy and it’s the best.  It’s also a Valentine’s Day image for m’lady (hah) and I because I call her that so often.

(( So this week I decided to try something a little different. :) I saw some beautiful “race-bent” Disney a while ago and wanted to try it out, so here’s some of our ladies. :D (There wasn’t really any rhyme or reason to my choices, I just started fiddling with the images and these happened.) :P I’m going to go back to doing genderbent stuff, but I think I’ll do some of these every once in a while if you guys would like to see more. :) ))

My favourite thing about their friendship is that they are both dreamers.

My favourite thing about their friendship is that Charlotte could easily be a spoiled, intolerant, horrible bitch, and Tia could be mean, bitter, hateful, and jealous, but both girls are sweet and caring in their own ways. And despite have almost nothing in common, the two have been friends since childhood even while growing up in a time when their friendship would have been frowned upon.
