(lmao I hope tumblr doesn’t mess up the layout, I’m on mobile.)
ANYWAY, YOOOO! I know I’ve been really distant lately and not posting anything. like, at all. The reason being is that I’m currently trying to get into an art school & I am struggling with getting enough things done for my portfolio. ;-;
I will still be kind of MIA until mid-february, but until then, have this! It’s one of 7~ish things I’m doing for my portfolio. I’m really proud of it omg ;; I found out doing this that I actually enjoy doing perspective work, too :o I took inspiration from a ton of things, including zentangle art, surrealistic plants, and my own storylines.
so ye, thanks to all my friends for sticking around & stuff while I’m off doin my own thing!! I love you all!!
Hey guys, my friends have been super hard at work with this animation over the past year and I would appreciate it immensely if you could watch and share it around. I also did some vector work for this and it’s a really kickass music video to the song Ghost by Mystery Skulls, check it out!
this is ALL over my dash rn and im glad esp since I just watched it, its so good yo
What is a “Distance Model”?
When a character is seen in the distance, too much line complexity will create an over-complicated image. We drop detail to simulate the effect of seeing a character far away. If you’ve managed to notice this already, you’re not just seeing things- it’s quite intentional.
Because the show is animated by hand, we prefer not to scale down a complicated drawing- it becomes unclear and messy. Instead we use a distance model, which is a simplified version of that character.
Also they’re really cute.
