it’s all in the eyes
All the stars are shining in your eyes。。。
If this ask was of a purely technical nature, the answer is that I vary, depending on what kind of picture it is. I’m not very impressed by the eyes I usually make; they mostly seem to consist of five lines or so.
The thought process for them is more important to me. That way I can at least try to get a good variation and give each character their own snowflake look. Above is a very boiled down version of what goes on in my mind when I draw the eyes. I’m more sure about some characters than others…

I don’t know exactly what issues you have while drawing eyes, so I can only show you the way I draw them ;-; I hope it could help you a bit?
I always start off with the upper lid shape, then add a curve of the lower lid and from there just add details, like so:

I didnt even know eyes could be Red or Black.
Black eyes are due to a large quantity of melanin deposited in the iris and this leads to extremely dark brown eyes that appear black. The more melanin you have deposited in your iris, the darker your eye color will be.
Many people say that true black eyes do not exist. They argue that the black eye color is rather a very dark brown color, so dark that it appears black.
Red or Pink eyes are mainly found in people with albanism, but not all of them have red eyes.
In some cases, there are people who are not albinos but still have red eyes. This pigment may be the result of a small leak of blood into the iris causing a reddish eye.
Also, Heterochromia iriduma is a condition in which the two irises of an individual have different colors, or in which one iris has two colors. (Source)

I’ve been trying to figure out how to answer this, but I am really bad at explanations… so I just drew up some eyes and colored them. M-most days I color a whole hell of a lot lazier than this tho (i got a bit too into the coloring part esp cause its such a small section ;; ) but yeah. this is just how I draw them. its fun to try different shapes as well :)
