Bismuth’s gem is a magnet for Pearl’s heart
The fact that Bismuth made a bigass sword for Connie and let Peridot go to homeworld and fight White Diamond on a fucking trash can lid is so incredibly funny to me.
implying the trash can wasn’t entirely peridot’s own idea and she refused to accept any constructive criticism regarding it
We’re any of the uncorrupted gems we saw at the end of Change Your Mind the friends that Bismuth has mentioned before (Tiger’s Eye, Crazy Lace, Snowflake, Little Larimar, Serpentine, etc.)?
The one Bismuth jumps on is Biggs Jasper. Beloved by everyone.
The special was insane!
SU Doodles

YO WHEN THE HECK IS BI SMUTH COMIN BACK SO SHE CAN DESTROY ME
Why is this child so pure and also smarter than me. I thought of the worst interpretation of them putting her in the temple with the other gems. Like they were placing her among other "corrupted" gems. But no, they were just trying to put her back with her friends. Thank your sister for me. Thank her for being so pure.
ah, I always feel so lucky to be able to hear her interpretations of things, ‘cause as an adult I can only interpret the show from the perspective as an adult. And I think we just tend to naturally become more cynical with age (’cause life is just kinda like that) so we can get weighed down by negative interpretations a lot
but kids often have such an optimistic, positive, and direct interpretation of things. And since the show is aimed at kids, I take her interpretation to heart more than others, since its the best representative of what the primary audience of the show is taking away from it. And its almost always something pure and good and it makes me very happy
why do i love all the most broken characters? yellow roses, for friendship.
shell be back
What if by "upper crust gems," Bismuth meant gems that were actually formed in the upper layers of a planet's crust?
AHAH HOLY SHIT
-Attilee
hope you don’t mind if I riff on this ‘cause it got me thinking. Like, on the one hand, “upper crusts” sounds like a Gem way of saying “those stationed above us” especially in a negative way like Bismuth was using it, but also could have more literal meaning
What if, when a planet is first colonized, the first Gems made are rarer, more powerful, elite Gems? “Planted” first in the top layer. They’re priority so they get planted first and they suck up all the rare/uncommon minerals out of the Earth (perhaps they have to incubate rare Gems first to ensure the more common Gems don’t somehow use up the rarer material meant for elites)
as Gem production goes on, they keep digging deeper. All the rarer minerals in a planet that are used to make the elite Gems get used up for the Gems incubated in the upper layers so as production goes deeper they make more and more common Gems
so how deep into a planet a Gem is incubated could be related to their class, Gems incubated at the top are all rare or elite level Gems, while Gems incubated lower are common
she’s a beauty and I love her
