Been a bit since I did a little doujin sampling, so here is a quick ‘lil story from my last batch of doujinshi purchases. 

This is taken from a Blues anthology entitled Blue Note. I remember when Archie was wrapping up, I rather enjoyed the direction the story was going with Blues second-guessing his loyalty to Wily and battling with the serious choices he had to make, due to Wily’s blackmailing about his core, when it came to the Megaman 4 prelude of kidnapping Kalinka. The emotion behind that part of the tale was really good, so much that you wish it would have been shown in the game itself, back in the day. 

This short tale by Zakiko, appropriately called “Kidnappers,” has Blues making a second kidnapping attempt, this time sneaking Kalinka out of her holding room inside Wily Castle, for what ends up being a quick little talk. Or is he saving all those enemy bots from being further drilled to pieces for parts by the poor girl? Those poor Joes/Mets/Tellys!! XD Then papa Skull Man finds out his daughter is missing, and he’s ready to destroy Blues for sneaking her out. 

It’s a really cute and well-drawn story. Probably my favorite of the set. There are a few really nice, single-page color illustrations mixed in with the various stories in this anthology, too.
