I’ve reached some important conclusions

Mob is that kid at the party whose red solo cup is purely soda. Kids keep coming by offering to spike it with something but Mob always declines. He’s having a nice time with just his sprite.

Ritsu comes with a water bottle. You know it’s not water. He knows you know it’s not water. He uncaps it and downs half the bottle in about two seconds while in the middle of conversation. You wonder if you can die from that much vodka. Ritsu is wondering it too. Would probably be better than the party.

Teru is wearing a glittery mesh pink shirt and chatting with four people at once. His drink is somehow brighter than the shirt–the absolute fruitiest, sugariest, pinkest thing you’ve ever seen and there’s only about half a shot of rum in it. One of the conversation partners offers to top him off with something a bit stronger. Teru replies “don’t worry I brought my own” and takes out a bottle of pure, lab-grade methanol. The colorful four-diamond toxicity label goes well with his outfit. He pours a third of it into his drink and keeps on chatting, sipping occasionally, to the horror of literally everyone.

Shou appears three hours late with a backpack full of tequila offering to do fire shots with everyone. The braver kids hesitantly do one, kinda giddy at the danger.

Shou does ten in a row, each flame progressively bigger than the last until the hostess is worried for the safety of her curtains. He doesn’t get drunk. He doesnt seem to be doing it for any purpose other than to drink as much fire as possible.

The house catches fire, surprising no one. Shou starts using the drapes to light his shots. He’s more entertained than before.

All the other kids get out except Mob, who realizes he has to go find Ritsu and Teru first.

Ritsu is slumped barely conscious on the living room couch while fire starts crawling the walls. Mob starts pulling at his arm telling him that if he doesn’t get out now he’ll die. Ritsu, in a vodka stupor, answer “Sounds like a plan.”

Teru walks in with a bottle of margarita mix and a bottle of Drano. He looks between passed-out Ritsu, Mob pulling at his brother, and the fire climbing up everything. He’s disappointed. He was having a fine time finding drink mix in the fire engulfed-kitchen but it seems Mob and Ritsu are planning to leave.

He downs the Drano and side-steps the ignited bits of carpet as he goes to help Mob with his brother, because there’s no sense in wasting good Drano.

if somebody draws vegeta and bulma in these panels you’ll be doing the world a favor

I imagine when Atem watches horror movies with the gang he pretends not to be scared. However, as soon as he watches them with Yugi they both scream at the same parts and hug each other out of reflex.

my storytelling final! or, that week i almost went blind cross-hatching!

it’s a couple weeks old at this point, but i’m still proud of it (all that cross-hatching…) even though looking back at it now i can see a ton of flaws or things i just could’ve done better. maybe i’ll redo it one day.
