In 1983, Chen Chieh-Jen, acting at a politically sensitive moment when elections for Taiwan's Legislative Yuan were being held, organized some of his friends and carried out a guerrilla-style art action on Wuchang Street, a regularly monitored public space in Taipei's entertainment district Ximending.
