I mean ultimately I dont care about teenage high school dramas on a personal level but I am really excited about hbh's international success and what it means for the australian industry in that it proves that people WANT to see diverse experiences instead of straight cis people with blonde hair and blue eyes

I think it's really funny! not a lot of people realise that the creator of sex education is Australian with very Australian humour so HBH is like a version of it that simply makes more sense, but is also its differences make it better. the cast is excellent. the setting is captured very well. the premise is definitely flimsy plus it's making all my friends who are teachers very mad but yeah Im mostly just enjoying it because think it's hilarious

also lack of uniforms aside this show captures the whole ~academically-unremarkable sports-favouring shitty comprehensive high school in a rich area~ vibe perfectly it's a bit spooky and a bit triggering
