ngl i need heartbreak high season 2 now, malakai...
i wish him luck for his hsc 🙏🏾
I hope they don't drop the bisexual king Malakai story line for season 2, if it was intended, cause they never addressed it again :(
ummmmm actually malakai needs to focus on his HSC next year he can work things out when he's at uni like the rest of us did
euphoria and sex education wish they could do it like heartbreak high
I mean ultimately I dont care about teenage high school dramas on a personal level but I am really excited about hbh's international success and what it means for the australian industry in that it proves that people WANT to see diverse experiences instead of straight cis people with blonde hair and blue eyes

also lack of uniforms aside this show captures the whole ~academically-unremarkable sports-favouring shitty comprehensive high school in a rich area~ vibe perfectly it's a bit spooky and a bit triggering
the fucking square stools they're sitting on in the art classroom!!!! I never want to see them again

Hey Deah :) Are you liking Heartbreak High 2022? :)
I think it's really funny! not a lot of people realise that the creator of sex education is Australian with very Australian humour so HBH is like a version of it that simply makes more sense, but is also its differences make it better. the cast is excellent. the setting is captured very well. the premise is definitely flimsy plus it's making all my friends who are teachers very mad but yeah Im mostly just enjoying it because think it's hilarious

heartbreak high reboot.... sex education found dead
okay i do have a gripe with this one scene where the teacher is telling them nudes are okay as long as they're untraceable/not showing their faces etc etc MISS you're supposed to be telling them it's fucking illegal bc they're minors
but also you can tell this is being written more for aussies now in their mid20s rather than today's highschoolers bc linguistically a lot of the slang used here popped up while I was in high school and I understand all of it and still speak like this but when I hear my actual teenage brother talking with his friends it's like another language lmao
