Yes. All of this, just yes. But I must add:

1) SHE COULD READ MINDS. I will (severely reluctantly) grant that when they joined, they didn’t know the people they joined were HYDRA. But once Wanda was able to read minds? All excuses about not knowing are null and void.

2) In emphasis because it needs it: SHE HAS MINDFUCK POWERS. That she has trained well enough, even as of AOU, nevermind WV, to use on people without melting their brains or whatever AND successfully get what she wants out of the mindfuckery.

She was trained in this by HYDRA. There is absolutely no way in hell she has never once left someone a mindless husk, driven them to suicide, or driven them irrevocably insane. Deliberately. At HYDRA’s request. While knowing they were, in fact, HYDRA. Because again, she could READ MINDS. Let’s not even discuss how many people she’s done that to ‘accidentally’. For a given value of said word. *disgusted snort*

Me: Yeah, I totally see the people of Johannesburg, you know, the innocent city in which she unleashed the Hulk, caring about Wanda Maximoff’s parents dying in a civil war/terrorist attack/American intervention. Of course that the people that loved their loved ones are going to cuddle her and tell that she is just a little kid when she had no reason at all for messing with Bruce Banner’s head (a man that never did harm to her). Yeah, they are totally wrong and Wanda is a hero and Bruce must get over it and protect her. 

PS: Guys, look at the notes of this gifset, not a single Wanda stan defending her here. 

She’s not even attempting to apologize. “I know you’re angry” is something people say right before they “but *here’s why it doesn’t matter/you should get over it*”

It’s not only a non apology, she’s not even taking ownership of what she did. She could have said “I know I made you angry” or “I know I hurt you”. Neither are apologies but they are acknowledgement that she did something wrong. 

I think her choice of language here is very telling. I think she doesn’t think she did anything wrong aside from teaming up with Ultron. The Avengers were her enemies from her point of view so what she did to them was justified. Which is absolutely disgusting but I guess ownership of her bad decisions doesn’t line up with the victim narrative she’s crafted for herself. 

“I know you’re angry” puts it all on Bruce - “I know you have an issue with what happened” like it’s his flipping problem. 

God I hate MCU Wanda so much.

P.S. - I’m wondering if Wanda forcing the Hulk out causing death and destruction in Johannesburg and it being swept aside as well as Romanoff pushing him off a cliff are contributing factors to the Hulk’s rage he used in the area in Thor Ragnarok? 

I mean, if I were Bruce and my teammates glossed over what Wanda did to me to accept her on our side and my romantic interest told me they adored me, kissed me, then shoved me off a cliff saying they needed my hated alter ego I’d want to vent some of that rage in gladiatorial combat as well. 

Not saying Bruce allowed himself be used as a competitor, I’m just saying the rage wasn’t too hard to reach for and he may be inclined to let some of it out for a change. 

I literally can’t stand her and here’s the reason why.

I honestly felt that comic / animated series wanda was amazing and she deserved so much more than this “turn you in to a Nazi even though your Jewish and destroying the community that helped you after your parents deaths because they were the convenient victims to execute your revenge” I’m not salty that this character could have been really really cool and instead became This. Nope.

What really pisses me off is Steve’s insistence that she’s a kid. I’m sorry, but NO. Anyone over the age of 18 is, in fact, an adult. And Wanda is not by any stretch a teenager.

Also … keep in mind her powerset. SHE HAS MINDFUCK POWERS. That she is skilled enough to use to ‘good’ (for her shitass plans) effect on the Avengers. This means she has PRACTICED this shit. And since fucking NO ONE gets it right every time, especially when they’re a newbie, JUST HOW THE FUCK MANY INNOCENTS HAS THIS BITCH FUCKED UP AND/OR KILLED???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also also, her dumbass blaming of Tony for her parents’ deaths … is so much bullshit I don’t know where to start. Because goddamn is she smoking some shit with that!

Last but not least … I have to wonder, given her powerset, if the entire reason Steve and Clint (ESPECIALLY CLINT, IN LIGHT OF HIM HAVING BEEN MINDFUCKED BY LOKI) are so invested in her is because she’s STILL mindfucking them. It would explain SO MUCH of the bullshit in Civil War.
