STARGATE ATLANTIS "Rising"
Created by Silmarillion on Youtube.
I don't have their tumblr (if they even have one), or I would have just reblogged it from them. But if anyone happens to know, please send me a message so I can do that!
because @cassiope25 made me think about this song again. this is one of my favourites, beautiful choice in music and scenes to give indescribable feels...
@sheppardsmckay I may or may not have ugly cried through this, especially given our chat on Sunday.
This Mortal Coil
Our first hint that something isn't right comes from Lorne (LORNE!) having to have it explained to him that the threat is more important than the inconvenience. I actually remembered exactly how this episode ended but not how it started, so I was a bit turned around for a moment, which was actually fun.
I love that even when you build a body from nanites, when a machine builds a body, if you fill it with the person's memories, if you create that person, they will do what that person would do. I love that basically if you make them human, and then make them Sheppard, Rodney, Ronon, Teyla, and Elizabeth, you shouldn't be surprised when they act like them. Stubborn and a bit pesky.
I love getting to have Elizabeth back for just a moment. The pain on Sheppard and Rodney's face when they see her again is so heart-wrenching. I love their reaction to their duplicates. I love the duplicates being disturbed that they can't go back to Atlantis but fighting for her anyway. I love that Rodney thinks it's cool and Ronon thinks it is disturbing to meet himself. I love that Ronon feels like everyone is acting weird, that he picks up on it. Maybe it's because Sheppard was actually holding his own while they sparred.
But, the hardest part of this episode is when John "We Don't Leave Our People Behind' Sheppard has to come to grips with the fact that he has lost Elizabeth. He can't rescue her. He can't get her back. She's gone. It's one more person he's been forced to leave behind and it hurts.
Also, when other-Sheppard was trying to see if Lorne was really Lorne, he shot him in the leg. I almost came off the couch with laughter.
