Actual First Impressions: HakuMyu LIVE 2, Act 2!!

[Interlude] – SPEAKING OF WHICH THEY’RE BACK IN WESTERN WEAR but… they’re actually furies… they didn’t do that for the last LIVE. I’m pretty sure Souji is talking to Yazaki-san like he’s Hijikata and completely ignoring Matsuda Gaku in full costume behind him. also trying to sing a part of “Shinsengu Tanjō” with him but Yazaki-san doesn’t know it as well hahaha AND GAKU-SAN IS JUST STARING THEM DOWN TRYING NOT TO SMILE OK OH MY FUCK KONDOU IS ADORABLE HE’S LIKE PATTING DOWN YAZAKI-SAN TO MAKE SURE HE’S REAL also now I think they’re arguing over which one is the ‘real’ Hijikata and here comes Shiranui with his watermelon ball (to settle the dispute I guess?) and apparently Yazaki-san is declared the winner as well he should be since he’s using actual volleyball technique hahaha THIS IS FUCKING PRICELESS HE’S GOT SUCH A HUGE GRIN WHAT A DORK and I can just tell Yazaki-san is saying some super awesome things about HakuMyu and Matsuda Gaku and stuff what a sweetheart

HakuMyu 30-Day Challenge, Day 27: Favorite Curtain Call

All the curtain calls are fantastic, mostly because we get to see everyone alive and smiling after we’ve had our hearts ripped out and stomped on over the course of a couple hours. Kazama-hen has one great entrance in particular, but overall Toudou-hen takes the cake in terms of random zany moments between cast members. From Shiranui challenging Amagiri to do a backflip, to Kodo and the extras making creative use of their limbs, to Okita riding on Kondou’s shoulder—this one has it all.

HakuMyu 30-Day Challenge, Day 15: Favorite “Yaisa! Yaisa! Yaisa!”

I really like how they differentiated Toudou-hen’s version from most of the others, since listening to six generally similar iterations of the same theme as an opener can be a little rough. They started the trend of personalization with Kazama-hen’s rock/Japanese flavor, but Heisuke’s Spanish influence is a little more prominent.

…More importantly, this one contains three beautiful duets and/or variations in a row which the others lack. First, after Chizuru’s part comes a lovely little aria from Sen, whose voice is more befitting of an angel than a demon. Then, fury!Sanan and Heisuke face off in a dark premonition of the conflict to come. Finally, and most impressively, Kazama gets his chance to deviate from the traditional demonic interjection by singing a different tune over Amagiri and Shiranui.

Guys, I’m 3 away from 100 followers at this point!! Which is crazy amounts of cool and all, and I’m sincerely super-grateful, except I feel like I should do something Especially Special and I have zero idea what that should be. So I got a question for you…
