Headcanon that Shiranui regularly just appears at the Shinsengumi headquarters to make snarky comments and no one is sure how he keeps getting in.

“Speak of the oni and he appears.”

Except no one was talking about him.

It’s 3 am. You get up to get a drink.

Shiranui is sitting in your kitchen eating cereal. He informs you the brita filter needs replaced. How did get get in there? Why is he there? Did he bring his own fucking milk because you are pretty sure you were out. You get your drink and return to bed, too tired to solve this mystery.

In the morning there’s a sticky note on the fridge that demands the wifi password and that you buy more Cookie Crisp.

I’m back with more because this is fun to write.

Its Saturday and you’re sleeping in, well, you would be sleeping in but the neighbor’s dog won’t stop barking. You drag yourself out of bed to tell it to quiet down.

On your way to the back door you notice Shiranui on the floor feeding bacon to the dog. You stopped asking how he got into your house (even though you changed the locks) and want to know why the neighbor’s dog is in here.

The dog wouldn’t shut up so he decided to see if a treat would help. Bacon was the best meat he could think of and you had some. He likes the dog and is keeping it.

Dude no. That’s stealing.

What? It’s a living thing and has clearly made its choice. It likes him more. He’s picked a better name for it. Now go buy more bacon for his cool new friend.

….did he seriously cook a whole pound of bacon and give it to the dog?

Shiranui thwarting a legitimate burglary of Harada’s house because he’d already broken in while Harada was at work. Harada finds out because Shiranui calls to let him know, and ask what toppings he wants on his pizza.
