okay, that takes care of the non-fic requests that have been sitting abandoned in my drafts for months!! apologies for the long absence, but I’ve been wanting to make a comeback for some weeks and have simply been too mentally exhausted to cope, so I hope it sticks this time.
I really want to replay, like, basically everything since it’s been so long, but first on the list… I finally got “Code: Realize ~ Wintertide Miracles” a couple months back and was holding out for December so like… I’ma be playing that to get in the holiday & otome spirit!! I probably won’t say too much about it while I’m playing it, but if I end up talking too much and you don’t wanna hear it, you know what tag to blacklist (assuming that works these days).
lupin n cardia meme fill…
“A ghost, thousands of years old, met you and his heart was moved.”
and noooooooow time for something different. I bought Code:Realize when I was waiting for the new Arcana update to come up and wow I just crumpled for these two. I gross myself out.
I’m having the time of my life
this crossover is ridiculous amounts of fun to write
“Ah, it seems you’ve finally awakened,” remarked the man, leaning back on white-gloved hands. “It’s about time. You don’t look particularly monstrous when you’re asleep, so I was beginning to wonder whether that idiot lion made a mistake.” He looked Cardia over appraisingly. “Though… you don’t look too dangerous now that you’re awake, either. Are you sure you’re an abomination?”
How would you rate every otome heroine you know in terms of preference? You got me super curious
- Yukimura Chizuru: consistent, makes generally sensible decisions, and has a lot of time to develop. The only thing that ever annoys me about her is her obliviousness, and that’s forgivable given her context.
- Ichika Hoshino: competent, independent, and not super-innocent. I don’t like how quickly and easily she falls in love, but that’s more a fault of the writing and/or plot than the character.
- Cardia Beckford: capable, pragmatic, and fast-learning. Most of the things I dislike about her have more to do with her circumstances and the overall story than her character, like how certain arcs are handled.
- Fuka: blindly optimistic, naïve, and genuinely unintelligent. Points for curiosity, even though she makes terrible decisions most of the time, and for the way her personality is shown to complement some others’ (e.g. Axel and Caesar).
- MC [Amnesia]: boring, unsympathetic, and soulless. I do like her alleged past personality in Ikki’s and Kent’s routes, but see zero evidence of it during the actual plot.
Thanks for asking!!
well, at least when I write my inevitable Ozmafia/Code:Realize fic Cardia can’t do the brothel route for obvious reasons. that can be my sole comfort.
…and in that Code: Realize x OZMAFIA!! crossover, I genuinely think it’d be more interesting if Lupin’s gang found and took in the amnesiac Fuka (because let’s face it, Lupin and Impey are gentlemen and softies), whereas famiglia Oz sought out and took custody of Cardia since she’s rumored to be so dangerous
or maybe a Code: Realize crossover where the mafia are just that, mafia, and nobody was ever literally a lion or a scarecrow or a tin man, because I just want to see all the characters interact. like a triangular rivalry between Herlock and Kyrie and Lupin would be… um, fantastic
'#he cAN CHOKE ME ANY FUCKING DAY' this is such a mood omg
Code Realize Official Fanset (x) // Please do not Repost!
would you date Mineo or Impey
Ooh… quite the pair of dramatic romantic comic-relief redheads, huh. I have a couple things in common with each of them, from Impey’s obsession with his projects to Mineo’s love of history, but… I’d say I’d probably find Mineo easier to deal with in a dating context. He’s a tad less insistent than a certain moony vampire, at least. And less touchy in a physical sense. And maybe a little more easily shocked and flustered, which is always a great deal of fun to exploit. Yeah, I think we’d do juuuuuuuust fine.
Thanks for asking!! ^w^
Would you date Victor or Impey?
Oh man. Victor would certainly be easier to deal with and lower-maintenance, but… he’s also a tad sweet-and-submissive for my tastes, and I’ve had quite enough of that in real life, thank you. So I’ll go ahead and say Impey, in spite of his love-sponge, cuddle-bucket, attentionwhore tendencies. I mean, if he and Cardia are canon, and she’s about as unromantic as I am, then that means I can make it work too. In fact, there have been times when I’ve been annoyed with Cardia’s cold shoulder, so I might even be more charitable than she is in certain situations. As long as he doesn’t move too fast, since there wouldn’t be any touch barriers to stop him, we’d be just fine~
For the dating ask, Yanagi or Van Helsing
Huh, this one’s actually kinda difficult because I’m not the biggest fan of either one of them on a personal level…
Overall, I’d say that I actually caught myself thinking of Yanagi as boring throughout all the routes in CxM, including his own, so… I’m inclined to choose Van Helsing, just because at least he made more of an impression on me. Even his unnecessary attempts to create the perfect romance for Cardia (in Future Blessings) strike me as much more manageable, and better timed/paced, than Yanagi’s declarations of undying love and subsequent marriage proposal about a month after meeting Ichika for the first second time.
Basically, if it’s a choice between a desire to settle down and a cold shoulder, I’ll take the cold shoulder. Sorry, family men. I hope you find what you’re looking for, but you’re not gonna find it with me.
How about... choose between Saint or Shiraishi!
SHI-RA-I-SHI KA-GE-YU-KI! SHI-RA-I-SHI KA-GE-YU-KI—!
There’s a reason Shiraishi is third on my list of top ten personal favorite husbands and Saint-Germain is ninth. Like, I adore Saint-Germain, I really do, but I do so with the full awareness that I wouldn’t do such a great job of giving him everything he needs under my normal circumstances. I’ve been learning a lot over the past week or so about my responses to being placed on a pedestal. Namely, that it’s a very uncomfortable place and I don’t like having the weight of expectation on my shoulders, even if it’s unconsciously imposed. I can 100% confirm that I can’t deal with anyone to whom I am everything. I swear to God it’s a Leo thing.
As for Shiraishi… well, if it’s an either/or situation, he’s certainly the one for me. That said, due to the aforementioned series of learning experiences, I’m wary of shipping ‘broken’ people with the only person to whom they’re emotionally close, since friend groups and support networks are much more crucial to a person’s mental health than romantic relationships. But at least in Shiraishi’s case I’d have a fighting chance of laying out boundaries that are actually heeded, especially since I don’t think he has preconceptions of what a relationship should be. I’d have a great deal more freedom to continue being myself and not an idolized version of me, which is all-important to me.
Thanks for asking~
would you rather date Hijikata or lupin?
Definitely the Demon Commander. I’d love to be Lupin’s friend and/or protégé in the noble art of thievery, but romantically speaking, he seems like the type to lavish attention on me, and being doted on is never something I’ve known how to handle. Besides that, he also seems like he’d demand a lot of attention in return, and that’s not something I can provide. At least, not within a “normal” relationship structure. And what with the dates and weddings and such in his canon route, it seems like he’s got a pretty traditional view on that.
Hijikata, on the other hand, seems a little more manageable for me personally, since he just needs some basic reassurances, which is something I give all my loved ones constantly anyway. Besides that, he seems content to let feelings be what they are instead of imposing a specific structure over them. Then again, it’s true that maybe he’s a little too comfortable with letting things be, given how long he waits to confess… but that balances my own tendencies out nicely, since I’m so used to making first moves anyway (whether I like it or not).
…Also, in terms of intimate relationships, I’ll take a Gemini over a Scorpio any day of the week. Just saying.
Thanks so much for asking!!
Drew this the day I started playing code:realize…. i’m in love with victor ;_ ;
