When I say that the dems bled out their voter base, make no mistake, this was not accidental. It was a very intentional decision to abandon Arabs and Muslims, to abandon progressives/the left, and to abandon the working class.
They said they didn't need these voter bases to win. The Democrats made a calculated political decision, its just that they're really goddamn bad at math.
Anyways, please check in and take care of your Arab and Muslim friends because both Republicans AND liberals are about to get so racist against them you'll think it's 2002.
And just take care of your trans, queer, black and brown, immigrant, and homeless friends in general. Some people will be disproportionately targeted and it won't be middle-class white women.
And please please please organize within your local communities that is essential for any action going forward.
Harm reduction voting does not work. You are not entitled to peoples' votes just because you're "not as bad as the other guy". You need to give them something to vote for.
This is how you bleed 14 million voters. These people didn't vote for Trump (who also lost voters). They just didn't vote. Because they had nothing to vote FOR.
Kamala harris' campaign alienated half their damn voter base by catering to the mythical "moderate republican" and refusing to give anyone any damn reason to vote FOR her. And now liberals are going to blame Arabs and leftists and anti-genocide protestors instead of the democratic party's complete incompetence for Trump's win. Absolutely ridiculous state of things.
Calling it now, next election cycle the dems are gonna dig up Henry Kissinger's rotting corpse and go on a multistate press tour with it. Watch them lose California for the first time since Ronald Reagan.
