Hey, first of all thank you so much for your blog, I’ve checked in on it periodically for years, and even though my feelings have changed for EA SO MUCH over the years, she’ll always be one of my favorite artists, and it’s nice to look back on through this blog. I wanted to ask though, I swear there used to be YT vids listed as an EA “Advent Calendar” and I’m not sure if this is also the same thing, but a video with EA (and friends?) riding a carriage in Chicago? I feel like I made this up but I swear it was real? Hope you are well 🖤

Ah! You're talking about two different series.

The Advent Calendar was an online release of short videos of Emilie during Christmas season 2006. You can find them all here. Fun fact: these were filmed during the creation of Laced/Unlaced, which is teased in these videos, and she appears to be living with Brendon Small and his dog named Ernie.

The carriage video you're referencing is "A Day Out With EA," which was included on The End Records release of Opheliac.

The Asylum Outcry Video Podcast was a three-part podcast filmed in 2009. It was meant to be a continuous series, but ended after three episodes. Here's one of the Forum Journal entries where she talks about it.

There was also another video podcast before this, circa 2006-ish. Only two teasers and a few photos were released. I believe the footage was lost during one of the robberies Emilie suffered, but I can't source that info right now.

I was unpacking from a recent trip and found this button buried in my suitcase, possibly from years ago. I honestly don't remember when I received it, but it's handmade by EA and given to me by her. She's in Australia right now so it's too much trouble to bother. Maybe someone has a similar one and can jog my memory where it came from? Anyone?

It's about 4 inches in diameter, made of plastic on the outside and has EA's signature on the back

At the risk of sounding like a drama channel, here's what I can glean from the surface:

Emilie and fLee no longer follow eachother on Instagram and Twitter, but various Crumpets are mutuals with her. (To note: EA's official accounts don't follow her. I don't know if EA has ghost social accounts.)
The fLeesmarket accounts are mostly automated; they post using IFTTT links. It's definitely unmanned most of the time. Sometimes it posts links to merch pages that aren't complete.
fLee posted about Emilie as recently as 12/2/19, so. There's that.
fLee used to be the frontrunner of EA's online space, but that moved to the Asylum Headmistress (Melissa King) and then to Courtney of the SSS. She hasn't been very active in the fandom since maybe 2014?

I've been blocked from all her Tumblrs for a long time, so I can't reference anything for you there. But that's what I know.

Keep in mind that fLee has a family and her own life. She still lives in Chicago. Friends drift apart sometimes, but we don't know their situation.

And for any of you who don't know who Queen fLee is... that makes me feel old.

Around 2006, Emilie was a foot model for O&i shoes. Queen fLee and Solarfacade (of Battered Rose) posted the top two images in the Official Forums in 2008.

The bottom two images are the full ads from the photoshoot. I can't confirm it's Emilie since we're not seeing her face and we don't know if she was the only model on set, but two of the four pictures share the same red toes and two share the same dress! I thought it was a cool find.
