This question makes me sad and happy at the same time. It's been so long! Some people don't even know who Joo Hee is!!!
Well, here's your answer: Lady Joo Hee was the first Bloody Crumpet and the only Bloody Crumpet to play an instrument alongside EA.
She was recruited via ad, which was posted to the Asylum Forums (and elsewhere) in August of 2004.
Wanted: Female cellist to join the lineup of an all-female chamber-pop group fronted by violinist/singer of national renown. You must have your own gear (electric cello or cello with pickup and amp, effects, etc.), be in or around Chicago, and an appreciation for eclectic tastes that go beyond straight classical music (or straight rock for that matter). The band’s goal is to perform locally and tour nationally in support of albums already recorded. If you have any background in early music (Baroque, Renaissance, even Celtic), we’ll love you even more. Your talents as a seriously trained instrumentalist will be greatly appreciated (!!!) but we’d love it if you have a tendency to rock as well. An affection for corsets, glitter, and stage makeup is nice but optional.
She was a Bloody Crumpet from 2004/2005 to 2008, appearing alongside Emilie in her first-ever Opheliac show at the Double Doors in 2006. Most people believe that she recorded all the cello tracks for Opheliac, but she isn't directly credited as doing so. She's only mentioned under Emilie's "thank you" list.
Lady Joo Hee (All My Love)
Lady Joo Hee toured intermittently with EA and the other crumpets as her schedule allowed, departing during the Plague Tour in 2008. Here's a video of her playing live cello in one of her final appearances:
She was also featured in the earliest versions of The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls, though she was later replaced with Sachiko. See her name mentioned in a 2008 book reading below:
She still lives and works in Chicago to this day, but hasn't revisited the Asylum since her "escape."
