Someone at life drawing class last night admired the sketch I’d just done and then asked if I’m an artist, and I will be dining out on that for weeks 🧑‍🎨

Well, I completed the @adorkastock Draw Everything June challenge! I used it as a way to practice speed and not being precious about inking. I had varying degrees of success, but it is at least satisfying to have had a crack at it and done the whole thing. Anyway, many images under the cut.

Magnus' Chinese Name is Pretty Neat

I got myself a Magnus the Red kit, yay!

I was looking at his box and I noticed the translations of his name. French/Spanish/Italian are pretty straightforwardly 'Magnus the Red'. The Japanese one basically says 'Thousand Sons: "Red" Magnus'. Then there's the Chinese one that I couldn't really read. So I applied a bit of dictionary research, and found out that the translation is pretty nifty.

A universal experience

House hunting with the Bloke today, and one place we looked at had very uneven windowsills.

So anyway the big news in Shazza Town is that I got a job at the local library service. It’s not full time, but it’s not nothing. Feels less like an achievement than it does just a, well, relief. Based on past workplace experience, I feel pretty confident they will love me once they get to know me, so I’m sure I’ll be able to get something more secure out of them eventually.
