Not. Well. dndndndndndn
He understands that’s part of Gortash’s whole shtick, that it’s more about him getting what he wants out of people, and if a few well placed touches or honeyed words make that easier, he’s going to do it (to an extent, Vat’il knows that that also applies to himself)
That being said, Vat’il’s not good at sharing. He typically stays out of the way- a good ally shouldn’t be taking tools away from the companions- but he most definitely notices when it happens and gets all sorts of petty and stab happy about it
#made worse by the fact that I don’t think either one of them are above flirting with someone else just to piss the other one off#which I can only imagine usually marks that poor person for death while they dangle them in front of the other for attention dndndndnnd#anyways I don’t think Vat’il ever kills anybody that’s super important- but he has gone out of his way to kill a few people that he knows#can’t offer Gortash too much. anyways surprising no one the boys are messy#anon#ask

Good question! Legit answer is I don’t know!
Somewhere deep in my soul, I do still enjoy that comic/its general premise and would like to see it continued/reach its natural conclusion. That being said, I also have like. No motivation to work on it, and my brain is currently fixated elsewhere.
So in short, I wouldn’t count on it happening anytime within the near future, if at all. (That being said, I know I’ve got some scripts for the next parts hanging around somewhere in my docs and wouldn’t mind posting those if you guys are interested. Full disclosure, I haven’t read them in several months and will not be editing them)

No worries at all! Of course I can always go with what I want to, but I also like knowing the canon/don’t want to present things as canon when they really aren’t, so I appreciate it! ^^
That being said, do you remember at all the scene around getting Sceleritas to say that? :0
I could only get him to say this (the dialogue option to prompt it being something along the lines of “if it has to do with my past, I don’t want it”)
But that was also just from killing Isobel- I didn’t try killing one of the companions or talking to him anywhere else.

No, actually! Or at least it never comes up in conversation djdjjdjdjd they kind of have an unspoken “people with happy childhoods don’t act the way we act so maybe just don’t bring it up” thing
The closest they ever get to talking about their pasts is Gortash vaguely inquiring about Vat’il’s family situation growing up (mostly just curious if he had one or if it was just Sceleritas), which ended with a knife nearly being stabbed into his hand and Vat’il leaving- needless to say, he doesn’t bring it up again
And as far as Bhaal being a parent goes, Gortash isn’t allowed to talk about him (not to say that he never does, but it rarely goes well. The best case scenario is just Vat telling him to shut up or pick a different topic- and he usually doesn’t feel up to being that nice about it)

It is entirely possible that I'm making this up, but I swear in one of the previous patches, Gortash had a smutty book in his room that had most of the plot-related pages torn out (which in hindsight ties in nicely to the whole "babygurl doesn't have time" thing lololol)
Anyways, whether I made that up or not, it stuck with me sdasdsa- I don't think he does it intentionally to piss Vat'il off, but he also doesn't stop when Vat tells him to- and honestly wouldn't be surprised if he starts doing it on purpose specifically to make him upset
