It's not just one side caring and helping out the other more, or one person being the idiot that throws themselves into danger while the other stands by

Benji and Ethan are good people who love each other so incredibly much, that the only thing they want is to see the other happy, without regards to their own wellbeing (to the dismay of the other)

They're both broken and hurt, but they will always be there for one another. Like how Ethan will always reassure Benji that he's never going to be a liability and he will always protect him (even if he'll be killed doing so). And like how Benji will always stay by Ethan's side. (he won't ever leave, Ethan will never be alone again)

They have their own flaws, their bad days, moments when they wished everything could just stop, but they work through those issues and go through those moments with each other.

They love each other, and they will always put the other before themselves. It's frustrating but that's just how they are: partners

The missions will always seem impossible, and they will go through hell, but they will go there together.
