tumblr user phoebelovingcare I am so curious, what is the issue with kirby time travel? has there been a significant use of it anywhere in the series?
the current problem with time travel in kirby is that it DOES exist, but is undefined.
"time-space transport" is a quote from Star Dream - clockwork stars are not only capable of travelling things through time, but have done so in every game they've appeared in, both times in reference to Galacta Knight. Speaking of Galacta Knight, they have been stated to be banished OUTSIDE of space and time.
think about that for a second. being outside of space and time. that is called Not Existing. how does someone end up in that situation? a schrodinger's puffball? incredibly relevant to history, but never directly quoted or witnessed in any main timeline?
The Lor Starcutter is ALSO stated to be a time machine on miiverse. backed up in that post by the fact that you can see it in the background of galacta's time-rip attacks in Robobot. The specific wording of it was that two Lors could meet at once, one from the future and one from the past.
which brings me to Magolor. the only other character who follows the same rules as Galacta Knight - there is only one of him in any timeline or universe, he remembers everything that happened in his relative past, and he must be brought to or travel to a timeline or universe to exist in it. the owner of the Lor Starcutter. which he shares a name with.
another major instance of this is rifts formed by Fecto Elfilis and Elfilin. they canonically experience time dilation - it's said that Dedede searched for Kirby for MONTHS before giving up and ending up possessed. Waddle Dee Town was already founded and then destroyed in the time it took Kirby to fall through a rift and stumble upon it the same day. Months of NewWorld time is minutes of Popstar time.
this dilation is also implied when Elfilin closes the rift tearing the two planets apart. I counted - it took 21 seconds for Clawroline to "nurse him back to health," and for him to be strong enough to create a rift back to Popstar. 21 is divisible by 7, possibly meaning it took 3 days or 3 weeks for Elfilin to recover and that 7 seconds is either a day or a week in NewWorld time.
beyond this point lies heavier speculation.

had a bad low blood pressure moment last night and messily asked my partner for saltines and water before realizing i should probably ask for the Blood Pressure Medication I Need To Take. while they went to go grab it though i still had water and crackers so in a daze i took a swig of water but didnt swallow and then tried to cram 2 saltines in my mouth. full of water. in bed. with mouth full of water

i started playing Disco Elysium and last night (the same day i started playing) i woke up to my stomach hurting so bad that in my delirium i thought it had to do with something from the game.
and looked it up…
i thought this was completely normal until waking up later after the pain was gone.
you’re playing the game better than anyone else has ever played it
