The October book recommendation post is now live over on the blog. This month’s book is one of my favorite fall reads, Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo!
This month’s book recommendation post is now live over on the blog. This month’s book is one of my all time favorites, Renegades by Marissa Meyer!
This month’s book recommendation post is now live over on emlinden.com. Today, we’re talking about one of my favorite summer reads, Virals by Kathy Reichs!
My monthly book recommendation post is now live over on my blog. This month, we’re talking about the Maze Runner by James Dashner!
The Legacy by R.A. Salvatore ⚔️
Of all the Drizzt books, this one was one of the ones I remembered the least well, so I thought it was worth a reread. Still not crazy about the whole Wulfgar scenario in this one, lol, but I actually liked the book overall better than I remembered. There was also a whole plot twist that I somehow totally forgot about, so that was a fun surprise 😁
June's book recommendation post is now live over on my blog! Today, I'm talking about Legend by Marie Lu! Check it out through the link above.
(And before anyone asks, no, it was not intentional to have the June book recommendation have a main character named June in it, lol. It just happened 🤗)
The Druid of Shannara by Terry Brooks.
This second Shannara trilogy isn’t talked about as much as it should be. I loved the first series but, at this point, I actually think I like this one even better. I like that the series follows the same characters and the same general quest the whole way through; it gives me more time to get attached to the characters and really come to care about what happens to them.
War Bound by Tara Grayce.
It’s been a while since I last read a romance, but I recently remembered that I read and liked the first book of the Elven Alliance series, so I decided to check out the next one. And I can happily say that it did not disappoint! Essie and Farrendel are always a joy to read.
May's book recommendation post is now live over on the blog! This month, we're talking about Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi 🔥
A Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir.
It’s been a while since I last read a book as fast as I read this one. Awesome from start to end. And also, poor Helene just can’t seem to catch a break, lol.
Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson ✨
I don't think that any other book has ever surprised me as many times as this one did. Shallan surprised me (multiple times), Kaladin surprised me, Adolin surprised me...But Dalinar didn't surprise me. Dalinar was just Dalinar ⚔️
Starsight by Brandon Sanderson 🌌
I loved Skyward, and I think that I loved this one even more. Spensa definitely has one of the most awesome personalities I've ever read.
And also...Poor M-Bot... 🛸
Realm Breaker by Victoria Aveyard 🔥
It's surprisingly difficult to find YA fantasy novels with the classic LOTR type of vibe, so I was happy to see that Realm Breaker pulled it off well. It's got quests, action, an unlikely hero, and a band of misfits to go along with her. Better yet, it includes all of those classic fantasy themes, but presents them in a way that's modern and original. I will definitely be continuing this series ❤️
Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree!
I don't really read very many books that could be categorized as "cozy", as some of you may have noticed, but it can be refreshing to take a break from the endless world-ending events and fights to the death every once in a while. Legends & Lattes is perfect for that.
