Maybe the reason Snape was so awful was because he had to spend most of his time around the Slytherin kids. I'd imagine once he gets past his "this will help me get revenge on Dad" phase & actually sees Blood Purism for what it is, his reaction is probably, "God, these people are AWFUL. Please let me hang around the Ravenclaws."
while your headcanon is valid, i feel like he actually like the slytherin students. if he didn't, then his life would be even sadder since he has been their head of house for almost 2 decades. imagine if he disliked most of them and he was the teacher who interacted with them the most. also imagine if everyone in the school including their own head of house disliked them.
i will give you this, i do think he disliked their politics but as a spy, he could not come out against it strongly.
He regularly got to foil the 'nefarious' plots of twelve-year-olds. I bet he'd share the best ones with Minerva over a pot of tea.
Severus Snape is such a king. Homeboy was breaking his back carrying the burden of poverty, his childhood trauma, daddy issues, double agency and ptsd and still managed to carry the Harry Potter series.
Snape takes care of baby Harry

Would Snape be a germaphobe? Discuss
Why would he discriminate against Germans? :(
lmaoooooo also yes he would be
Tried my hand at making a playlist let me know what you all think
It's so interesting that Severus was so comfortable around Filch that he was holding his robes above his knees. We never see Severus so physically comfortable with anyone else. My headcanon that Filch found an young Severus in a vulnerable state after one of Marauders 'pranks' and they bonded over their mutual dislike for those troublemakers.
i love the idea of them being allies
Lovin' the idea of Snape doin a lil Marilyn Monroe in front of filch.
*Snape minding his own business his first year of teaching*
*student fight breaks out*
Snape: oh man a teacher should really break that up
Snape:....
Snape: oh fuck I'm the teacher. HEY STOP THAT!
*arguing coming from the common room*
Snape passing by: that's not gonna be my problem today
Snape as a teen is the kind of guy who jumps off of something 2 feet tall and screams “PARKOUR” idk that’s just his vibes
me @ these notes fr
he fits all these categories tho
Stay in your own lane Francis
wonder what kind of eyeshadow he wears
an ongoing saga of snape’s glitter eyeshadow
Nah he’s just constantly on the verge of a mental/emotional breakdown so his eyes are always full of tears
And whoop there goes my heart 💔😭
i honestly cannot get the idea of snape bowing sarcastically at umbridge out of my head. snape outrunning a hippogriff. snape writing poetry. severus “would you like me to do it now? or would you like a few moments to compose an epitaph?” snape. snape referring to himself in the third person when he comes up behind harry and ron in cos “or maybe, he’s waiting to hear why you two did not arrive on the school train”. snape hiding behind a suit of armor and walking out with a dramatic “it is i, severus snape!”. robes billowing. the scowling. peaceing tf out by literally throwing himself out the window.
why do people hate this man. he’s hilarious.
because he’s described ugly, gross, and mean so it’s 200% worse when he does something versus when other characters do similar or worse things
im sure he eats cereal menacingly from some people’s point of view
literally all i care about now is the concept of snape eating cereal menacingly
Character analysis videos: “Severus Snape was cold, intelligent and very controlled and reserved when it came to his emotions.”
