tbh i think ryou’s damage is pretty obviously that he reacted to the traumatic deaths of his mother and sister by wanting to put the world in a little snowglobe and never have it change. he writes letters to amane like she’s still alive and obsessively builds dioramas and DMs games and the wish he makes that his tenant responds to, over and over, is that in the fleeting moments he feels happy that he can just. freeze it and perpetuate it and nothing ever ends and nobody ever leaves. but then there’s the juicy layers of him being a blatantly obvious liar and bonding with the entity that was regularly possessing him and also kinda sorta enabling the end of the world, which is a choice coming from a boy obsessed with nothing ever changing, but the fact that the end-of-the-world battle stage chosen is an RPG built by him and DM’d by his ‘half demon half traumatized bastard’ possessing spirit, explicitly to retell past events and Get It Right This Time, at least makes it the most ‘yep that’s ryou’ way to enable destroying the world ever
