The issue wasn't whether he could take the fight.
Akihiko knew his strength. He'd spent tangible years honing himself into an intuitive, natural weapon. It didn't matter who attacked, who he protected, what blow he threw himself in front of--he would take it, and survive, and keep fighting. He knew that.
The fight itself was never the issue.
It was the walk home.
