I'm interpreting this as caretaker prompts revolving around "It's for your own good", rather than caretaker responses to the phrase "it's for your own..." If I got it wrong, pardon me :>

  2. "...I had no other option."
  3. "Was that so hard?"
  4. "I can't help you like this! I just--I had to do something, okay?"

Hello 🐍!!

For all of the current OCs, there's a character inspiration of some sort from someone else.

Morrigan is inspired partially by The Winter Soldier in his Hydra arc--there's a lot to explore about control and programming that I haven't gotten to dive into. But soon. There's one particular ask I'm about to get to that I'm very excited about...

JJ is inspired by a mix of Steve Rogers (yeah, Marvel kick, apologies) and this is an odd one, but c!Welsknight from an earlier Hermitcraft season--his sleeping-for-months situation is what got me started on his story, of waking up in a new world. Cryo vibes. I regret nothing.

Winter is partially inspired by Arthur from Merlin and Hearthstone from MCGoA. His loyalty and drive from Hearth, and his headstrong nature and privileged childhood from King Arthur.

Frey was developed from a very twisted version of Percy de Rolo from CRC1, mixed with Ignis Scientia from FFXV. Guilt, shame and dutiful, bound loyalty. They believe themself to be unfixable, but they have grown so used to their role serving Winter that it's all they can think about.

Minnow is inspired by Mollymauk from CRC2, in their flamboyant and don't-care-live-life nature, as well as the Doctor, particularly Eleven. They lead headfirst into a world no one else understands as well as she does with cheer, and some underlying sadness he doesn't hide as well as he hopes.

And Cor is greatly inspired by Aragorn, son of Arathorn, from Lord of the Rings. His gentle nature, stern leadership and practical intelligence is definitely modeled after Strider, as well as his ranger lifestyle.
