UPDATED INTRO POST

Hello! You can call me Seth. Whatever 'nouns you fancy. I've been here for almost a year now, and wanted to update some things for 2024!

Where to find me ->

Main blog - @sethlost. You'll find lots of random fandom things, commentary on my music shenanigans, and reblogs of anything I laugh at. Come say hi!

Ao3 - @/seth_lost. Whump fics, fluff fics and anything I've got brainrot for. I switch fandoms faster than a race car and its lanes, so, chances are you may find something you like!

Also, I run the Whumperless Whump Event ( @whumperless-whump-event ) in July! Thought the prompts have just been posted, I'm already starting on next year's list. It's been a blast, and it hasn't even begun!

Preferences ->

The Likes (personal favorites):

Situational, accidental and non-whumper whump, sick fics, comfort, coughing up blood, nosebleeds, medical comfort, medical hurt, noble, knight, scientist, doctor, medic, and leader whumpees, sibling whumpees, whipping, tazing, and manipulative whumpers.

The Maybes (uncommon, but not squicks):

Severe torture, dubious consent, non-explicit emeto, BBU or pet whump, heavy gore, body horror

The Nopes (you won't see it here):

Explicit rape/non-con, child whump, explicit emeto, suicide, intentional self harm. If you don't enjoy these, you needn't worry about them here.

DISCLAIMER: I AM EMETOPHOBIC. Severely so. If by chance your header or profile picture contains someone vomiting or has vomit, PLEASE do not follow me. It is a severe trigger of mine.

Hiya folks--

This wee little ask game got. A Lot. of responses. This isn't a bad thing, not at all!

However, my queue is currently 25 posts long, and I still have 25 unanswered prompts in my inbox. I apologize, but your ask may take a while to resurface--I have them queued to post four times a day, but... yeah.

Either way, I am creating a new tag for this particular post: #whump dialogue ask game. That way you can search through just these posts to find your prompt. Not all of the ones posted are tagged yet, so right now search "How to play" on this blog and you should get all of the posts.

Anyway--thank you so much for your interest in this! I wasn't expecting so many asks, but that's totally alright.

UPDATE:

My queue is now 40 posts long and my askbox still roughly 30--goodness!

The main point of this one is to remind everyone to please look at my pinned post nopes before sending in an ask. If I receive a prompt with a subject on the Nope list, I will not answer it.

Particularly, prompts about suicide or suicidal ideation will be ignored--if you did send one in, don't worry, I'm not upset! Feel free to send in a new one with a different subject matter.

I'm interpreting this as caretaker prompts revolving around "It's for your own good", rather than caretaker responses to the phrase "it's for your own..." If I got it wrong, pardon me :>

  1. "Whumpee, you need to sleep. I'm sorry. We can talk about it when you wake up."
  2. "...I had no other option."
  3. "Was that so hard?"
  4. "I can't help you like this! I just--I had to do something, okay?"
