#what strikes me about this moment #aside from the fact that it shows with a couple of glances just how they care about each other #is that frank looks at her with a heavy heart #because she’s there all nervous but full of hope #and he knows he’s about to let her down #and I thnk that’s killing him inside

A soldier addressing a higher ranking officer uses the word sir or ma'am in the same manner as a polite civilian speaking with a person to whom he wishes to show respect. (x)
