Mingyu (김민규):

synopsis: You and Mingyu are childhood friends and best friends. You two don't get to spend much time together due to promotions but after promotions, you hang out with him and his members. Mingyu wanted to hang out with you alone though; perhaps that meant something even when he didn't know it did.

There was obvious disappointment in your expression and tone as those words slipped from your mouth. Minghao and Seokmin nodded, knowing how much you wanted your childhood best friend to come.

“Why?” You asked upon seeing the other two 1997 liners' faces. They were just smiling softly with their eyes slightly narrowed.

“He had a schedule last minute and since it's a commercial opportunity, the manager edged him to go for the sake of our reputation,” Minghao replied.

“Oh, well, that's okay then. You guys brought Vernon!” You smiled brightly because it was the first time you and Vernon had hung out in a while.

With the four movie tickets in your hand, you took a picture outside of the theater with the three of them and then headed inside to watch the movie. Mingyu had wanted to watch this particular film; it was about a man who was a former kickboxer and a woman who was nearly blind after a car accident. You recalled him expressing so much excitement to see the movie but it was such a shame for him to not be there.

As you sat down in the dark theater on the comfy red chairs with a red and white striped bowl of popcorn and a can of soda in the cupholder, you couldn't help but feel strangely sad.

It had been around a week since you and Mingyu saw each other. He had been so busy with work that he didn't even have time to reply to your texts and when he did, it was hours past when you sent it. He didn't even have time to call you or anything.

Without him around, you began to miss him. Sometimes he would disappear for months, only contacting you a few times a week, but that was when he was busy with world tours and you were also busy. Workloads were enough to make you forget you even had a childhood best friend.

Mingyu looked up at you and sighed before opening the lunch box. Without even staring at it for a second, Mingyu passed it to Dokyeom.

"You can have it." Mingyu said, getting up from his seat and walking away with his hands in his pockets. You frowned.

"I can eat it, right?" Dokyeom asked with a joyful smile. You smiled back and ruffled his hair.

"Of course.." Mingyu turned back slightly and saw you ruffling Dokyeom's hair before going on his way.

Suddenly, Seungcheol grabbed your hand and took you out of the dormitory. You two were friends and he often invited you over to the dorm.

Everyone knew you liked Mingyu, and you couldn't help but confess, only to be rejected by Mingyu. ever since that day, you wouldn't give up on trying to get Mingyu to like you.

Seungcheol whispered in your ear. "Mingyu definitely likes you, he told me and Jeonghan that."

Your eyes widened. "Really!?" You covered your mouth that was smiling widely.

Seungcheol nodded. "But Mingyu also told Jeonghan and I that he hates it when you hang out with Dokyeom, that it drives him crazy."

You screamed inside and smiled even wider, your heart beating quickly just at the thought.

"And since we're good friends, what if we pretended that we were a thing?"

Your smile faded and you removed your hand from your mouth. "Are you crazy, Cheol?"

He put his hands on your shoulders and assured you. "Let's make him really jealous tomorrow. Then I'm sure he won't be able to do anything but tell you his true feelings."

"Come on... I don't want to hurt him like that if he actually does like me..."

"It'll work, and it's only for the better!" Seungcheol replied. Hesitantly, you agreed.

The next day, you two carried out the plan. In the mornings, you would make breakfast for all the members but give him special parts. You made a delicious breakfast as usual with Dokyeom, you two often cooked together.

When breakfast was ready, you served them as usual but this time you gave Seungcheol a sunnyside up egg to go with his food.

"There was only one egg left." You said, acting out your brightest smile. Seungcheol smiled too and acted like he was really really surprised and thanked you.

Mingyu stared at you then Seungcheol before eating his meal like nothing was wrong. You and Seungcheol spoke with each other's eyes.

'i don't think it's going to work.' you said with your eyes.

'just wait!' Seungcheol replied with his.

After that, Seungcheol taught you how to play a game. Usually you would be clinging onto whatever Mingyu was doing. Mingyu would be making something or be on his phone.

Finally, Mingyu walked up to Seungcheol and whispered in his ear while you were focused on the game.

"What are you doing?" Mingyu whispered.

"Hm?" Seungcheol acted flustered. "She said that she wanted to hang out with me today, that's all."

"All of a sudden?"

"She told me that you weren't giving her any attention so she got sad and wanted me to help her get over you. She said that she was done chasing you around like a puppy." Seungcheol chuckled. "Doesn't she look cute with headphones on?"

"I did it, Cheol!" You turned back to see Seungcheol with Mingyu. Seungcheol had his arms crossed and Mingyu stared at you with a look you couldn't read, but it didn't look good.

"Mingyu..?" You took off the headphones, your heart was beating fast you were afraid. "Mingyu, I-"

Mingyu grabbed your hand and took you out of Seungcheol's room. He took you inside his room and locked the door. You looked down and fidgeted with your hands.

"Do you like Cheol hyung now?" He asked, his voice softer.

You remembered that Cheol told you to keep your act even if you were scared of hurting him.

"We've always been close." You looked up at him with an indifferent face.

"Do you really like him?" Mingyu licked his lips. 'Unbelievable. He actually believed it and got jealous?' you thought.

"It doesn't concern you." The look in Mingyu's eyes suddenly changed. He changed his gaze from your eyes to your lips and with his hands at the back of your neck, he brought your face in front of his.

"It does." He said before locking his lips with yours. Your eyes widened with surprise, your didn't actually think he would be jealous. Now you knew everything that Seungcheol said was true.

Mingyu removed his other hand from his pocket and wrapped your waist. Your gently wrapped your arms around his shoulders, something you had been wanting to do ever since you started liking him.

Mingyu finally brought up the courage to hold you tight and kiss you lovingly. You broke off the kiss for a second to try and tell him it was all planned to make him jealous but he wouldn't let you. When you tried to break off the kiss, he would just bring his lips back onto yours.

Seungcheol slid a note in between the cracks of the door to Mingyu's room.

After you two finished kissing, you sat on Mingyu's bed shyly, blushing and your heart racing. Mingyu just hid his face and scratched his head, avoiding your gaze.

He spotted the note. "Oh?"

Mingyu grabbed the not and licked his lips and smiled in disbelief. The note read, 'IT WAS A PLAN TO HELP YOU CONFESS TO HER. ^^ - love leader S.Coups'

You chuckled upon reading the letter.

"I hope I didn't hurt you with this.."

"It's okay, at least it worked... I'm sorry if I ever hurt you by not giving you attention.. Even so, I'm glad that I can end your 'puppy love.'"

You smiled to yourself. "It was worth chasing your around."

Mingyu smiled to himself too.

Mingyu: a fluffy date imagine

"No no no~ you didn't tell me it was a horror movie!" Mingyu whined, clinging onto a pole inside the movie theater. "You know that I get scared easily!"

Mingyu dropped down to the ground, still holding the pole tightly. He turned from a 6'2 man into a kid in minutes. You pulled him up.

"It'll be fine, Mingyu~" you finally managed to bring him up and he sighed a lot on the way to room where you would watch a horror movie. You had your arm linked with his and his hands were inside his khaki coat pockets.

"Let's see~ Let's see~" you said, both of you sat down at the back and Mingyu sighed again. You just smiled. Mingyu took your hand and held it tight, his head resting on your shoulder.

The movie began and both of you were tense. Some time throughout the movie, Mingyu whispered to you, "This movie isn't that scary after all."

You silently laughed. "That's just because it's the beginning. Wait until we pass the 45 minute mark at least if you want something scary to pop up."

Not long after, Mingyu and you became a frightened mess. The jumpscares didn't fail to get you two scaredy cats. Both of you began to cling onto each other tightly. You began to laugh when you realized that other people only screamed because of both of you. Mingyu tried to hide his face but kept his eyes focused on the movie. You did the same.

Another jumpscare popped up and this time, Mingyu shook and got startled, which startled you too. You turned to him, who was mumbling things like, "Gosh please stop don't pop out." Over and over again.

You shifted your focus to him instead of the movie, as you just couldn't get enough of him. His eyes were so cute, like a little puppy.

You cupped his face and removed it from your shoulder, giving him a peck. He looked at you and gave you a stare that read "is this the time to be doing that??"

You just smiled and he turned back to the movie, but then turned back to you, who was already focusing back on the movie, putting a piece of popcorn in your mouth. He gave you a quick peck as well before becoming a koala again.
