WONWOO: merry merry

[05:53] Surprisingly, instead of sleeping in, Wonwoo finds weird today because he can't continue sleep, which is one of his usual specialties. He doesn't get out of bed though, just turns on one lamp and reads a book that he started three days prior to Christmas.

[07:17] You wake up because Wonwoo's softly humming an emotional ballad while strolling through his book. He doesn't notice you're awake until you snuggle a bit closer to him. He places one arm around you and asks, “You're awake already? I've already washed up, you should too.”

[08:30] For breakfast, you two feast on some leftovers from yesterday, that his parents brought. Yesterday, there was a family gathering at your house and you guys spent the day together, talking, cooking, catching up. You talk about it briefly with Wonwoo and he laughs while recalling a moment when his mother embarrassed him by talking about him as a student.

[09:11] For Christmas, Wonwoo continues to apologize, saying that you'd probably be disappointed in the gifts he got for you, “I was a little lost and didn't know what to get for you.” You assure him that whatever gift he gets for you, it'd be fine. He gives you one of his favorite books that he recommends and a ring. “It's nothing much, I just thought maybe, maybe you'd like it.”

Jeon Wonwoo (전원우):

The day was cloudy but the leaves that were changing in color shone brightly and beautifully against the dark bark of tree branches, littering the floor with their crunchy beauty. You wanted to stop and take pictures of the color-changing trees of autumn but found yourself continuing at the pace you and Wonwoo were walking at.

All you had on was a soft, wool sweater, jeans, and a scarf, matching the colors of the fallen leaves. Wonwoo, who you knew got cold easily, was wearing a gently padded light-colored, almost khaki coat to battle the brief cold.

On a date, holding plastic cups of warm coffee, walking through the empty streets of darkened sidewalks due to the light sprinkle of rain, you couldn't have felt any warmer.

Just then, breaking you from your thoughts, was Wonwoo's warm hand that slid from his pockets into your palm, intertwining his fingers with yours, and bringing them into the pockets of his coat. “You seem to be quite lost in thought.”

You turned your head from the sidewalk to your side, where Wonwoo was. He was still looking forward. You stared a bit, at the brim of his round glass, then glancing at the ground. “I was just enjoying the moment, Wonwoo.”

He smiled softly, eyeing a little alleyway up ahead. “It's getting colder these days,” Wonwoo said, glancing at you, who had taken a sip of your warm cup of coffee. “Do you think that cat would be okay in the cold weather?”

synopsis: Being friends since childhood, you and Wonwoo are now best friends and college students. After missing a meeting you two planned, Wonwoo decides to take you out for a drink in the evening, which eventually ends up with all the sincere feelings getting spilled.

At one year old, like every pair of friends that had children at around the same time, your mom and Wonwoo's dad set you two up on a little play date.

Not knowing anything as a child, the moment you saw another child, a handsome one at that, you immediately began chasing him around playfully. Wonwoo, being a one-year-old boy, found the sudden chase to be scary and of course, ran away in fear.

Fast forward to 5 years of age, you two were now going to kindergarten together. Your parents being best friends allowed you both to form an innocent friendship that continued throughout school. You enjoyed taking care of him and he would, occasionally, take leaves out of your silky baby hair, and give you napkins to wipe your mouth.

Wonwoo (전원우):

synopsis: Your 6-year-old twin daughter and son, after finding some polaroids, ask you how you and Wonwoo met. So, you proceed to tell them the rather unique way you and your husband met in the forest.

You had a son and daughter and they were probably playing around the house somewhere as they always did; you were guessing they were in the playroom that was filled with toys and two computers. Your husband, Wonwoo, would be watching over them but you knew that he'd be reading a book most of the time, only glancing at them from time to time to make sure they're okay. Meanwhile, you were in the kitchen, preparing dinner for your family.

Just then, all of a sudden, Wonwoo, with his nose in a book, entered the living room, followed by your 6-year-old son and daughter twins, who were both holding polaroids. You could see them through the door connecting the two spaces, and out of curiosity, you asked your dear children, “What do you guys have in your hands?”

Your two kids walked over to you and climbed into the stools, laying each polaroid down on the counter. You quickly shoved the variety of ingredients to the side.

“Dad said that we could look at them,” Your daughter said, her eyes gleaming and filled with innocence. Your son nodded in agreement with your daughter's statement and Wonwoo came in the kitchen with his book closed.

You turned over to Wonwoo, crossing your arms.

He gave a small shrug as if he did not know anything.

“My friends are always talking about how their mom met their dad,” Your daughter began, picking up one of the polaroids. The polaroid she was looking at was a picture you and Wonwoo took when you two visited a library for a date. “My friend said that their mom met their dad when their dad bumped into their mom on his way to work.”

Your son nodded. “Right, my friends talk about that too... I've been wanting to know...”

Your children looked a bit skeptical. They turned to each other, nodded, and then proceeded to ask while turning back to you, “How did you meet dad?”

Wonwoo didn't want to get his feet dirty in the sand since he claimed that it would get stuck in his toenails for days; that's why he had his arm out and his hand in yours, holding you as you two walked along the beach by the sunrise. The sound of the waves was calming and to be walking with the man you loved left your heart feeling peaceful.

You were staring at the ground, watching the gentle waves swipe past your feet then back. The last bits of the summer breeze was hitting your face softly, blowing your hair away.

Wonwoo was feeling the peacefulness of this moment too. At first, when you suggested coming to the beach in the early morning to see the sunrise, Wonwoo didn't believe that the beach would be empty, which made him a bit reluctant. Now that he saw the empty beach, he was glad that you dragged him along.

He watched as your hair flew in front of your face because of the wind. He watched as you walked beside the water, letting your feet sink in the sand for a second or two before taking your next step. He watched as you subconsciously smiled with the sunrise in the back making you glow.

Oh dear lord, you looked so beautiful in so many different ways. Any of the words that meant “beautiful” wouldn't have been able to describe the beauty he was seeing. You were just so utterly gorgeous in his eyes that he didn't want to lose this sight. It was way too beautiful for a word.

“Are you having fun?” Wonwoo asked, pushing up his glasses to see the prettiest you clearer.

He was playing games and you were sitting on his lap, being clingy on a rainy midnight. Lighting would flash from time to time and thunder would roar every once in a while raindrops were calmly leaving pitter-patters.

As Wonwoo's hands hastily pressed keyboard keys, you started sneaking kisses tracing down his neck. Your soft giggles that tickled his skin only made him want to stop his game.

“What are you doing?” Wonwoo asked, his eyes and hands still focused on the game but his mind focused on your actions.

You spoke softly, your voice tired and every breath you let out continued to tickle his skin. “You know, It's been a while since I've stayed up this late. I don't even know how I managed, doing nothing.”

The cold night left your hands icy as they slowly ran through the back of his head. The feeling was refreshing, like a splash of cold water on a hot summer day. He had been sitting for hours just gaming when you decided to crawl into his lap.

He didn't mind it and rather liked it. He was surprised at how cold your hands were though. Usually, it was Wonwoo who would be the one to have cold hands.

Wonwoo (전원우):

synopsis: On a vacation, you go to the seaside and stay in a hotel suite. Every morning, you go down to the lounge bar for tea, and there, the bartender Wonwoo always greets you with sweet words. It's your last day of vacation.

Even after taking a refreshing morning bath, you still didn't have the energy to smile, even when a smile was costless.

The sea was crashing against the glittering yellow sand, the reflection of the sun glistening against the waves. You could spot people already hanging around the beach, ranging from kids to elders, all of them with a happy smile, enjoying the last bits of the summer breeze.

Deep inside your chest, you felt a bit of envy.

That ecstatic feeling of being free, you sort of missed it. Though you were on vacation and got to enjoy this beautiful view, beautiful weather, and amazing hotel suite, it seemed simply like a trip to refresh your thoughts.

The vacation wasn't so happy so far but you were trying your best to make it seem like it was one because it would have been a waste; after all, everything was seemingly perfect.

After watching one last wave crash onto the shore, you turned away from the window and walked out of your luxurious hotel room. The decoration was golden and white, seemingly fit for someone in royalty, unlike yourself.

You, after leaving your hotel room, headed toward the elevator and pressed the ground floor. Your next destination was a part of your daily routine; the lounge bar. You went there every morning to get your daily dose of tea.

You walked into the lounge bar, dressed neatly but comfortably. Your plan afterward was to go on a walk and enjoy the summer breeze while gazing at the beach-like scenery, your ears plugged with music. You didn't want to stay locked up in your hotel room, that would be suffocating.

Upon arrival, you saw a familiar face. It was the bartender.

Wonwoo (전원우):

synopsis: With no lover, you have no plans for Valentine's day and the only plan you have is to spend the day alone. Your friend, Wonwoo reveals that he does have plans for it. The next day, on Valentine's, he unexpectedly shows up at your door.

a/n: I wrote this fic at the barber shop lol. I got my hair cut short and I'm honestly, very satisfied with the angle cut I got. I've always wanted my hair cut short for once. + Woah! Wonwoo + Tattoo?? I'm pretty convinces that he has one but it really doesn't make a difference to me. I always thought that he would get one. :')

It was a snowy day and you and your friend were spending time together in a cafe, drinking from warm cups.

You stirred your cup of hot chocolate and stared out the window beside the table the two of you were sitting at. The snow was falling elegantly over the city, covering the sidewalks.

You sighed and turned back to Wonwoo, who was sitting in front of you.

“My plans? Stay home, watch a movie, feel my loneliness. Why would I have plans for Valentine's day?” You lifted the cup with both of your hands and drank a small sip. The hot chocolate flowing through your body made your insides warm. “You've been my friend long enough to know that I never have any plans on Valentine', what did you expect?”

Wonwoo smiled softly and drank his hot coffee.

Ngl, I didn't expect it to be so hard to write this one + The more I thought about it, the more I realized how lonely it would have looked to have the world only in black and white... Colors really are a blessing.

Mingyu sat up on the couch, spilling the popcorn that he had beside him. His eyes were wide open and his mouth was still full of popcorn.

“Wait- then why do you still need me to choose your outfits?” Mingyu asked, slowly picking up the popcorn he spilled on the carpet. “And for a MONTH? Why didn't you tell me or any of the members anything?”

“I still can't see colors, it's temporary. Whenever I meet Y/N, I can see colors, but it wears off back into black and white after a few hours apart.”

Mingyu nodded along. “That's weird. I started seeing colors permanently around a week after I met my soulmate.”

“I guess the time is different for everyone.”

Mingyu turned to Wonwoo, still a bit disappointed. “But how come you didn't tell me that you two were seeing each other for a week? And they work at the flower shop around the corner- I pass by that place nearly every day!”

“Yeah... unexpected.”

“Wow, hyung... so what have you two been doing?”

Wonwoo (전원우):

synopsis: Everyone's world is black and white until they find their destined one; a soulmate. Once someone meets their soulmate, their life would burst with color, and only if that soulmate dies, would the color disappear.

a/n: my first little imagine in a long time since I've been working on the l&l:tttbilb series :) + some requests have been in my inbox for a long time - I'm sorry - and that's because I've been only doing the ones that I have an idea for + feel a spark from. I was able to think a lot about what ideas I can imbed into my writing too...

Mingyu walked over to Wonwoo, slouching and tired. Mingyu was in a deep sleep until his roommate, Wonwoo, woke him up to help him choose an outfit. This happened all the time because Mingyu could see colors and Wonwoo was still stuck in a black and white world. Everything was black, different shades of grey, or white. Nothing beautiful.

“Why would you buy a green t-shirt like that?” Mingyu asked.

“Green? I thought that it was blue?”

Mingyu shook his head and got up. He walked over to Wonwoo's wardrobe and picked out an outfit. To Wonwoo, that outfit was just a mix of grey colors.

“Here, wear these. You can recognize what is black, red, purple, white, and yellow, right?”

Wonwoo nodded and walked over to his wardrobe. Living in a black and white world for so long, of course, he would have been able to pick up some colors by their shades of grey; though he didn't even know what each color looked like, he could only hope that they would be beautiful.

Now that I think back on us, we were a romance novel with a bittersweet ending. Every moment I spent with you felt like I was drinking a comforting cup of hot chocolate even if it didn't have any additional toppings. Warm. Sweet. Lovely. Temporary. I guess I finished the cup of hot chocolate now, huh?
