“It's fine, Seungkwan, it's only for a short moment!” You replied, closing your eyes gently. Around your body was a large strapped bag that contained a volleyball signed by Seungkwan's favorite volleyball team.

Seungkwan hated that he had to be so worried as you daringly opened your arms to hug the wind, allowing yourself to lean back slightly. From the moment you two began riding the couple's bicycle to now, you had made Seungkwan like a father who was concerned for their naughty child, even though he was your boyfriend.

Seungkwan's eyebrows arched inwards as he clenched his teeth and shook his head in disagreement. Despite his constant worries for you who was so carefree like a bird, he felt a relieving sensation as he spotted the beach down below creeping closer into view.

The sound of the waves was getting closer too and now, he could understand how you could open your arms so carelessly. He wanted to hug the wind too but Seungkwan knew that he would be way too scared to try.

“You didn't let the bag loose, did you??” Seungkwan asked half-joking and half-serious as he took a small turn, heading towards the bike parking area.

“Of course not! For the last day of summer, you brought your special, lucky ball! If I lost it, you would kill me even if I'm your darling,” You smiled and opened your eyes, finally clasping your hands around his waist and resting your head on his back.

Seungkwan was talking about something but you just couldn't seem to focus on it at all. It just didn't seem like a day where you could be upbeat with your boyfriend, so you stayed quiet.

“Why aren't you responding to any of my jokes?” Seungkwan asked tilting his head, looking at you. You two were sitting together, across from each other at the dining table.

“Oh, sorry.” You replied quietly.

Seungkwan tilted his head even more and looked at you a bit closer.

“What's with you? You're awfully quiet today, is something not right?” He asked.

You shook your head and stuffed your mouth with food to avoid answering. Perhaps it was the stress that was affecting your sudden mood change, or the gloomy weather, but overall you just didn't have the energy to respond to Seungkwan's story, no matter how funny it might've been.

“You're eating because you don't want to talk?” Seungkwan said.

You lifted your head to look at him and that's when he gives a satisfied click of his tongue. Seungkwan placed his hand on yours.

“Are you tired?” Seungkwan asked, he had an assuring smile on his face. His gaze was warm and it made you just want to cuddle with him for the rest of the day, through the night, until morning.

You decided to reply to him, hoping that he would just believe that peace and quiet was what you needed. You hated throwing yourself onto others and become a burden.

“You don't want me to know?” Seungkwan asked. It was like he was reading your mind every second. You didn't know that by just one look at you, Seungkwan could find out what your entire heart was thinking. He loved you THAT much.

You still didn't reply, and stopped chewing on your food for a bit. Seungkwan rubbed his thin on the back of your hand softly, in a calm and reassuring manner. He was always a softie for you, and aside from being playful and loud with you, who was like him, he tended to care a lot of you.

You didn't expect Seungkwan to respond so calmly. Knowing him, it seemed more like he would get angry at you for not talking back with him. Maybe you didn't know him well after all.

You let out a sigh and continued to chew your food. Seungkwan let out a soft chuckle. “What's on your mind? Can't you share a bit with me?”

You swallowed the food and looked at him in the eye. His eyes were filled with so much love.

Seungkwan drank water before locking eyes with you again. He took your hand into his and with a soft smile, said ever so carefully, “Want to go to bed early?”

You nodded, because it seemed like all you wanted to do at the moment was sleep beside him, in his arms, feeling his warmth.

Seungkwan led you to the bedroom and and tucked you into bed before getting in beside you. He took you into his arms, and your head rested against his chest, hearing his heartbeat when you concentrated.

“When you wake up tomorrow morning, make sure to be happy, energetic, and like a huge dork again, okay?” Seungkwan said, rubbing his cheek on your forehead.

You smiled and let out a small breath at his remark.

“Honestly, I could actually care less about how you act tomorrow, as long as it shows you're in a happier mood than today.”

“So you do care about how I act tomorrow.” You said, making him laugh a little. He hit your back playfully and gently.

The way his precious giggle sounded with your head pressed up against his chest made you smile.

“I just want to see you happier.” Seungkwan said, pressing a soft and quick kiss onto your forehead.

You felt then that Seungkwan would bare through anything with you. Whenever you'd stoop to your lowest, he will bring you back up.

He would have his tough times here and there, and it was going to be your job to bring him up.

Seungkwan took your hand and kissed it. “I want to see that bright you again.”

You smiled, knowing that your bright and cheerful personality would be exactly what he needed whenever he was having a hard time.

Just like how his embrace was exactly what you needed.

All the stress that piled up onto your shoulders, you could feel your shoulders lighten in weight. At last, you could let them rest.

“Can you sing?” You asked in a quiet voice.

“Of course,” Seungkwan said. You could imagine a smile on his face as he said those two words.

Seungkwan started singing ‘THE REASON’ and slowly, you could feel yourself growing tired as the weight of the stress freed from your shoulders.

From the sound of it, Seungkwan was probably driving. “Yeah, I'm on my way now. Why?”

The thought of having him home was like a breath of fresh air. You felt your tired and weak heart brighten, and the corners of your mouth lift.

“Can we video chat?” You asked.

“Video chat? Of course, but why?” Before you could answer, he replies to himself, “I don't think there's a stable place in the car.”

“It's fine then.” You said. Just hearing his voice was enough. “Be careful while driving.”

Those words hit Seungkwan in the chest, making his heart ache. He knew that you had just lost your pet in a car accident, where the driver was not driving carefully and hit your pet while you two were on a walk.

Seungkwan forced a smile. “Mm, okay. I'll see you at home then.”

Seungkwan's voice was softer than usual, and considering your vulnerable situation, he didn't want to make you sad.

“Okay then I'll-” your sentence was cut off by a groan of pain.

You were walking to the bedroom when suddenly felt your entire body weaken. You collapsed onto the floor with a thud, like a paper doll.

You hit the side of your arm and your elbow on the hard floor, and it hurt, even more because your body was weak.

Your phone had slid away from you after the fall and cracked even more than it was before, ending the call. You had cracked it when your pet got into a car crash then too.

Seungkwan panicked as he frantically tried to call back. He muttered to himself to get to you quickly, clenching his teeth.

It felt like all of your bones were broken. You couldn't move an inch, like you were paralyzed.

You reached for your phone, trying to take in all of the strength you can get. You felt your eyes fill with tears, for a reason you didn't know.

Seungkwan's voice was the only thing that made you able to stand the pain of losing your long time pet, who was like a family member who always listened to your rant.

Finally, you heard the door click open, and hurried footsteps.

Amidst your teary eyes, you managed a smile.

“Baby? Where are you?”

Hearing his voice gave you strength. You lifted your wrist, and formed a fist, knocking on the hard, wooden floor slowly.

Seungkwan was afraid of the sound at first, but then followed it, to see you lying on the floor. For some reason, you couldn't even lift your head, as your whole body was numb.

Seeing you paralyzed, Seungkwan came to you worriedly, while making unidentifiable worried sounds that made you want to laugh.

He picked you up into his arms, holding you to his chest.

“Gosh, why are you so heavy, why can't you move??” he asked, his voice anxious and his eyes teary.

You finally felt your arm again, and held his arm. He was kneeling beside you and had you on his lap, in his arms, similar to how you were holding your pet after the crash.

You gave him a smile.

“Can you get up?” He asked, his voice was small and soft.

Seungkwan wiped the ears off his face upon seeing you smile. “Why are you smiling now?? If it was hard for you, you could've just called me and asked to cuddle, you idiot!”

You just smiled. He held onto you before you finally started feeling your muscle return and the numbness fade.

“Can you get up now?” He asked, helping you sit up.

Though sitting up, you still had your head pressed to his chest.

“Gosh, you really worry me sometimes, you little fool!” He said in a scolding tone that was filled with love.

“I'm sorry,” you replied.

He gave you a soft peck on the forehead, shaking his head. “Don't be sorry, baby, I know you're just my little fool.”

You chuckled, wrapping your arms around him as you waited for the strength in your legs to return.

Seungkwan felt happy just seeing you laugh because of him. He loved you a lot, and hated to see you like this, but at the same time admired that you were strong enough to endure so much pain.

He leaned on your shoulder and rubbed his face in it. "Gosh I love you so much I'm so thankful that you're my girlfriend." He said, putting his arms around you. He then looked up at you and cupped your face. "Gosh do I deserve this beautiful person????"

You removed his hands. "Come on, it's not that big of a deal.."

"Of course it's big! This probably going to be our best date ever." He said, putting his large and delicate hands in yours.

As the seats in the stadium began to fill up, Seungkwan visibly became more filled with excitement.

At last, it started. Seungkwan would cheer so much that from time to time you would give him water or cover his mouth because you didn't want him to damage his vocal chords.

After the game ending in a victory for the team Seungkwan was cheering for, seeing him happy immediately made you happy.

He jumped up and down, hugging you and making you jump up and down with him too.

He finally sat down, sweating. You wiped off his sweat, it was a different side to him you never saw.

"Were you not interested in the game?" Seungkwan asked drinking a sip of water.

"It was fun, I just was admiring you most of the time because you're so cute~" you replied, with a satisified smile.

"Tch~ what's with you today~?" Seungkwan asked with a smile. You didn't even have to say anything because Seungkwan already read your mind. "Thank you baby,"

Seungkwan gave you a kiss on your lips. Then he stood up and took your hand softly with him. "I promise I'll do something sweet for you~~"

Seungkwan was always sweet. He was a sweet and kind person and you knew it, it's just that he seemed more dazzling today.

With your hand in his tightly, you both walked out of the noisy stadium. Seungkwan continued to thank you and talked about how amazing the game was.

"This was indeed the best date ever." You said.

He turned to you. "All of a sudden?"

"What? Don't you agree?"

He smiled and gave his signature playful scoff. "Of course I agree."
