IMC students conduct unknown distance range

U.S. Marines with Alpha Company, Infantry Training Battalion, School of Infantry - West, aim downrange at Range 210C as part of the third week of the Infantry Marine Course on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Feb. 10, 2021. IMC is a 14-week pilot course designed to create better trained and more lethal entry-level infantry Marines prepared for near-peer conflicts. The course uses a redesigned learning model for students intended to develop their capabilities for independent and adaptive thought and action. The program of instruction for IMC has been in development for a year and follows guidance from the 2019 Commandant's Planning Guidance and Force Design 2030.

There are so many benefits of being the smallest training company EVER.

We finish training quick as fuck so we get back on thursdays instead of fridays.

We can dip and chew seeds.

We sit and chill ALL fucking day.

We get more one-on-one with combat instructors.

We get a lot closer as a unit more easily. Esspecially as 0311s.

Its just great.

So a Navy Chaplain and a Combat Instructor Hike a Hill:

Chaplain: Let's go my son! God gives us strength to reach the top!
Combat Instructor: Hurry up faggits!

It's crazy how old the Marines from the other Companies look.

My company looks like we're all freshmens in high school and the other guys look like they're 30 or something.

Maybe it's because we're all 18-19. But still, you can tell who's from my company pretty easily.

"Did you train harder then the little bearded man today?"

One of my combat instructors always reverts back to this at the end of the day.

He’s talking about that short little Afghan dude that constantly hikes the mountains of Afghanistan. Patiently waiting everyday, PRAYING for that one chance to kill an American. The dude is probably only limited to rice, and has no high speed gear like us, but he trains everyday for that one chance.

And we sit here, in comfy squadbays, bitching about “not enough sleep”, or “not enough food”, or “its too cold sgt”.

That question always bring ME back. Did I really train as hard as the small bearded man?

Bang Bang.

So we got word that the supply of MREs and ammo is running low here for SOI (and Camp Pendleton in general). Soon in a couple of weeks, we're gona run out of ammo and just say "bang, bang" at the range... and we sleep less in the field too. So more range movements.

But Im not complaining about not sleeping in the field. Its fucking cold in the winter cycle...

Night Run Of the Bitches

Yesterday,  my plt. spent the entire day at the range to zero our RCOs. And stayed to night time to zero our PEQ-16s up to 0000….

The instructor s cancled transport so we ran 2.7 miles back home while it was pitch black in ability groups. That shit sucked… you wont believe the hills out here. But once we got back at 0100, I felt bad ass. Like, “Holy shit I did that”.

Also, a lot of people died lol

Anyways, it sucked but was fun in the end. Thats how I think SOI is gona be.
