Got exposed to covid so now I’m stuck at home isolating until my test comes back today or tomorrow. Luckily most of my professors have been accommodating and I’ve been able to get the notes from other students. Woke up early to do some reading notes I didn’t get to yesterday. Hopefully today goes well and I come back negative so I can get back to class and work.

It torrentially rained last night and my entire yard flooded which was fun and exciting. Backlogged on some work so hopefully this weekend I can catch up and get ahead!

I really love my online experience, I’ve started making some mutuals and a few friends which is nice. I like the content I’ve curated for myself and I feel calm when I come on.

Time to grind today and get everything done! Today’s to do list includes: chem prelab, inverts lab worksheet, reading A Room of One’s Own, and annotating an article. The day is young so I got this!

Took another exam for organic chem and I think it went okay. Not my best work but that’s okay! I’ve got an essay due at midnight that needs work and an inverts lab soon. Hopefully I get everything done in time!!

I’ve been working on orgo since 5:30 am but I feel more confident about the problems than I did yesterday. I have my test tomorrow so hopefully I can get all the practice done! Also I got some cute new socks from my sister!!

Day 4- For my researching fellows, what are you researching on? If you’re not currently researching, what is the topic within your field that you’re most passionate about?
I’m currently finishing up research on parasitic barnacles and mud crabs. I’m looking at their parasitic relationship and the physical impacts on the crabs. It’s been a really cool project and I’m happy that I got to spend 6 months on it.

It’s a rainy day today which plummets my productivity but let’s hope all goes well anyways! I also changed my background on my iPad which looks so happy now!

Had a great day yesterday! Finished all my homework early and went on a boat to do oceanographic research! Having good thoughts for today to go just as well!! I spent last night making a linguistics trivia Kahoot that I hope the club likes today.

Had a busy few weeks but here are some pictures from my oceanography trip yesterday, studying orgo, and the massive fog and thunderstorm we had last week. Finished my last exam from the past two weeks (6 total!!) and I think it went well! My partner is coming in to see me this weekend too so I’m gonna enjoy the break.

Been staying on top of my homework so far which has been good. I still have a lot of work outside of that but I’m getting through that now. I’m also getting to celebrate my anniversary this weekend which will be fun!

Winter jacket in the summer since I don’t have that many big coats and I used to wear sweatshirts during the summer anyways.

One time I went to Chicago and it was super cold but that’s it.

Yes! We had some flurries a few years ago in my hometown!

Day 33: Have you made any New Years’ Resolutions?
Yes! I made twelve based around creating more space and time for myself this year since I ended up burnt out for six months last year. I’ve got ones related to leisure time and some projects that will bring me joy!

I spent the morning at my moms house and opened presents. Then I went to my dads house with all my siblings and made monkey bread and played codenames after opening more presents!

Nothing traditionally. We usually just hang out as a family.
