Self Indulgent Fandom Stuff

I’m realizing now that i actually dropped my self insert oc’s name already in the tags of a previous post so I might as well talk abt them…

So again, disclaimer that this character while self insert-ish is not meant to be entirely accurate to me as a person irl so there will be distinct variations in their personality, appearance, gender and other such things!

With that in mind, and without further ado..

Education level: masters in neuropsychology

Occupation: agent of the Phoenix Foundation (currently); agent of Spearhead Operations (formerly)

Job Description:

Evelyn works in interrogation settings, using psychological warfare tactics on captive targets to get them to give up the desired information without ever laying a hand on them. She does this for the Phoenix Foundation, handling the hard targets, the ones that even the main crew or Matty can’t get information out of.

She also was in this line of work back at Spearhead Operations, where she learned many of these skills. Those learned skills, combined with their educational background in neuroscience allow Evelyn to be the best at what they do. It helps that they’ve also already got very highly attuned empathy as well.

(important to note that it doesn’t mean they are a very cuddly, sweet person, at least not without a lot of built trust)

Other: autistic, special interest in human behavior/brains, high empathy + low social skills = sensitive but deeply awkward and off-putting, she has a cat named Aurelia (from whom she often borrows the name ‘Aurelia’ as an alias for any undercover missions)

pre-show lore:

- Evelyn excelled in school, attending UCLA at the age of 16 and getting her masters by 22. In the meantime, she caught the attention of the CEO of Spearhead Operations, a private military contractor company.

- At 19 years of age she was approached by Russell Taylor, aforementioned CEO, about the possibility of recruiting her to his company as an intelligence operative.

- Initially she wasn’t thrilled about the idea of working for a pseudo military organization but then she remembered it was a private company instead of a government entity that she’d be working for.

- She knew that would piss off her Navy captain father monumentally and took the job, using the surprisingly hefty paycheck to fund her continuing education in brain science.

- She spent the next 5 years learning and expanding on her neuropsychology expertise in a psyops context as well as taking on field agent training in everything from gun handling to bladed weapons and hand to hand combat. Other than her behavior and brain science expertise, she excelled most in combat with bladed weapons, knives particularly.

- By the time she was 24 she was a capable field intelligence agent, albeit working for a private military contracting company.

- Just after her 25th birthday she was approached by a woman who represented something called the Phoenix Foundation…
