Anyways, I headcanon that when Data first used the emotion chip he was very (unintentionally) exaggerated about well… everything, and that extends to his relationship with Ethel!! This is his reaction upon seeing Ethel for the first time again after installing the chip!!

(In my canon he uses the emotion chip soon after gaining it back from Lore, not later in the movies!)

After Keiko and Miles’ wedding, Data and Ethel end up dancing and messing around for a bit in Ten Forward after everyone has left, just the two of them, talking, just being together.
