My new project might help you out. It’s called the Sacred Letters of Supernatural (@sacredlettersspn). I post bi-weekly analyses of episodes, trying to go a little deeper than what’s happening on the show for only the characters. You can read more about it here.

I’ve had an idea percolating for a few months, and I’d love some feedback on it.

So many people have good questions for Jared and Jensen, but never get the chance to ask. What if I set up a special Twitter account, like @questionsforjared or @questionsforjensen, solicited questions from fans (I would curate the account and ignore questions about Destiel or what vegetable they would be), and retweeted them? I’d give J2 the handle at DC, and tell them that they could use it to kill time when they’re bored, answering questions whenever they felt like it.

Thoughts?

That sounds awesome! My only question regarding this is, what about fans who don’t have social media? For example, I have my tumblr account, a very old YouTube account, and a Pinterest account that’s practically defunct. If I wanted to submit a question how would I go about doing that? @mrswhozeewhatsis

That is an excellent question! It sounds like adding a Tumblr blog would be a good idea. I would then have to tweet a link to the original Tumblr post with the question in the tweet.

My decision to base it on Twitter is because that is the one social media platform that Jensen seems to interact with the most, that also would work for this. (Instagram seems to be his favorite, lately, but it doesn’t lend itself to this idea.) Jared seems to be the same, though he is a smidge more tech savvy than Jensen. My thought was that it would have to be something easy for them to remember and access. A Twitter handle accomplishes both. I could give them each a business card with the handle on it, but even if they lose it, the handle would be simple enough to remember.

My first thought had been to make a book, but that’s a thing that they would have to carry around with them, and it wouldn’t be very interactive after they got it. Not to mention that they’d probably lose it amongst the piles of things they get at cons. Basing it on the internet gives it a better chance of working for them. This way, they can skim through a timeline of tweets, pick a question they like, and tweet the answer. Easy peasy!

@mrswhozeewhatsis this sounds like an amazing idea! Would it be just Jared and Jensen or would people with questions got other members of the cast like Misha, Rob, Briana, etc. be able to ask them questions too?

You know… I was thinking I should do it for Misha, too, but the rest of the cast is so… available in comparison, I hadn’t considered doing anything for them. I’ll have to think about it, and see how much work three accounts would be before I decide to make more. I barely know how to work twitter, now, so this will be a learning curve for me!

You don’t have to! I got the Tumblr accounts set up last night! Don’t know why I can’t tag them on mobile, though. ☹️ @jaredquestions @jensenquestions (Apparently, not fat-fingering the spelling helps. 🙄)

Since I haven’t been around for a while, Gish, life, health, and all kinds of things, I decided to host a challenge. I haven’t written anything in a long time so I want to read some fics to try and get back in the mood.

This is an original character challenge, no reader inserts allowed. Get creative, let those talented juices flow. This is of course a SPN challenge so the OC has to be in the supernatural universe whether AU, RPF, ABO, canon or whatever. Fluff, smut, angst, flangst, flut, whatever genre you want. As long as you put appropriate warnings and tags and such. 

Your OC’s can be any kind of character, whether it be based off of you or just some person that is stuck in your head. Whoever they are, they need a name and a personality maybe even a description. LGBTQIA or cis, family or lover, hell, it can be the family dog, as long as its original. Make me love the character as much as you loved writing for them. 

Pairing is fine or no pairing at all. But There is a limit to the canon characters I will read so the list of characters to write with are as follows:

Dean Winchester, Sam Winchester, Castiel, Jo Harvelle, Charlie Bradbury, Rowena, Michael, Bobby Singer, Arthur Ketch and their actors.

So your OCs can react with any of those mostly. You can mention others those just pairings or family ties or anything have to be centered around just these. There is no word limit and there is no minimum. As a matter of fact if you just want to make a moodboard or aesthetic or edit that works too. Just as long as there is an OC involved.

I’m gonna give you the rest of the month to get this done. Sign up will not be closed, so you can start writing whenever you want. As long as you sign up and submit by the 31st of August. I will make a Masterlist the first of September with all the submissions. If you need more time, I’m flexible.

Well, you have surpassed that on my main blog @babypieandwhiskey and are well on your way towards my next milestone, and my writing blog @babypieandwhiskey-library is growing towards its first milestone too! Hi everyone!! FREAKING FINALLY I’m ready to make the recipient announcement for June! I’m so sorry that im late, especially to this awesome recipient!! Im not gonna ramble this time, just gonna get on with the show!! So, let’s hear what was said about this lovely person/blog. Why don’t we see what her friends have to say about her?!?!

When I asked Vanessa what was her favorite fic is that the recipient had written she said…… , oh wait I’ll have to tell y’all at the end of this post.

Now I’ll tell y’all about how I found this persons writing. I wasn’t even on Tumblr when I found her. I was on AO3 searching for Dark!Winchester fics and hers came up as the most recently written or updated. It sounded like something that I would really like so I started reading it. Seriously, no lie, it is a triple threat fic with plenty of angst, fluff, and smut to go around, plus then some. I was so freaking amazed at all of the twists and turns she had taken with everything we know and Love about the canon story and made it into her own world that she graciously invited us into. To date, it’s my favorite fic, or actually series by her. But I started reading,…., shoot, the one that @flamencodiva recommended to me yesterday, so we’ll have to wait and see!
