I just happened upon a heated “debate” over whether Philippa of Hainault was black or not. The whole thing started off with racist slurs and curse words. It’s amazing sometimes when you look at things like this and remember just how ignorant and racist people are.

@luanna801 I completely agree. I vaguely remember what I had read at the time, but I do recall finding the evidence and sources I stumbled across mostly inconsequential. I wanted to see what other people thought though and stumbled across this beauty. Of course, it is the internet. So I should have expected as much.

@luanna801 I would love to read it! Thank you! Yeah, I've gotten to the point where I don't read comments anymore. If I do converse with anyone it may be through Tumblr or Instagram. But overall, I avoid internet discussions now.
