The Great White Shark is the largest species of mackerel shark, averaging 3.5 - 4m long in males and 4.6 - 4.9m in females, with some females reaching 6.1m in length. Young Great White Sharks eat bony fish, rays, and other small sharks. Full grown Great Whites are capable of preying on small cetaceans, otters, sea turtles, seabirds, and pinnipeds.
