CS Fic Rec Monday

I have read many canon-compliant fics where Killian gets sick and Emma takes care of him. To be honest, most of them write Killian completely out of character, in my opinion. That’s why I love this one by @snowbellewells​. This is a man who lost his hand and days later clicked a hook into a brace and headed to Neverland. This is a man who has been tied up, had daggers held to his throat, and had the Dark One and witches plunge their hands into his chest. Later on (after this story was written), he told his girlfriend it would be okay before she stabbed him, then stood up to torture in the Underworld. Do we really believe this same man would be whiny about the flu? Well, @snowbellewells​ doesn’t think so either, and I love the way she writes Killian in this. Would he suffer silently on the Jolly Roger? Of course he would! But Emma gets worried when she doesn’t see him for a few days, and this is where this story tugs at your heart.

Summary: This is just a little post-Neverland one-shot, taking place sometime after they've returned to Storybrooke with Henry. Pan's gone, and there is no second curse. It was probably inspired by cold January weather and my wondering how Hook managed to keep warm and not get sick on a freezing cold old ship. And it was cold January weather this morning that brought it back to mind to re-post this morning. Anyway, pretty sweet and fluffy, I'll admit it, but I still hope you enjoy.
