So many thoughts and I will probably write a more coherent recap when it is not after midnight here in my corner of the world…
BUT what an utter shamble of an episode. The boys father waltz in, and yes I get you fell into pieces when your wife passed away. However that does not excuse you to abandon your 2 grieving sons, forcing the eldest to take up the mantle of being the father to your younger boy and the gym business for YEARS…No contact - NOTHING! Yei had to do everything on his own! 😤
And then the boys just forgive him like that? We have them playing family - karaoke, playing in the water as family unit and taking family photos.
Wow…the boys are clearly angels cause if I were them (esp Yei), I would have not given in as easily.
On the flip side, I adored every single moments we have of YeiCher and YakDee. The easy relationship and the trust these 2 couples have on each other is beautiful to see.

All I could think of during the boxing fight between Yak and Yei is how utterly useless the dad was. No matter the excuse, he should not have abandoned his 2 sons and forced Yei to shoulder the burden of being a father to his younger brother while still grieving for his dead mother and juggling the gym business

I am puzzled by Dee's continue reticent to define his relationship with Yak as boyfriend. And now we have Yak trying to prove himself worthy? for Dee. I only have one question, why? Don't get me wrong, I think the whole sequence of Yak wooing Dee is super-cute (from the flowers and the outings). Dee also clearly cares loves Yak - he called Yak a "green flag" and declared to Terrible that Yak is his safe space. He also got Yak to see Kao (although that was unprofessional of Dee to get clinical information from Kao re: Yak diagnosis! SUPER BAD people, against the ethical code in medicine) and they continue to be disgustingly domestic with each other.
I am also confused about Dee continuing to deny Yak from kissing on the lips (of course by the end of the episode, we see them pashing each other) - so good of them? But it doesn't seem they are still in a proper relationship.
Contrary to my ambivalent feelings on how YakDee relationship is progressing, I continue to adore YeiCher and the close knit gym family unit. However, I am frustrated with Yei insistence in NOT telling Cher what is happening with the gym (and debt) - it is clear Cher wants to help share the burden and if anything, he is clearly the brain of the couple. It is also clear Yei has been sheltering Yak from knowing anything to do with the gym business. And now, we have the added complexity of the brother's absent father suddenly turning up (both brothers, but especially Yei has daddy issue).
Glad to see Dr Terrible (and Ohm) received their comeuppance this episode. Ohm perhaps more so than Terrible with him being handcuffed (and presumably expelled from uni) for the attempt sexual assault on Taem. Terrible also tried to assault Dee and I am pleased Yak decked him (cause he deserved it! Although I am not sure why YakDee did not complain Terrible to the hospital board (or police) for the assault). And I am also please Dr Khwan finally dump Terrible for good and find herself a better man.
On a more positive note, shout out to Taem and Kao - the best and most supportive besties our main couple can have! Taem may have feelings for Yak, but she is sensible enough to see the blossoming relationship between YakDee and gracefully bowed out (and for that, I really hope she finds an amazing partner in this series! Not gonna, lie, I was bummed when Sazaki has a lovely girlfriend as I was hoping he would get partner with Taem or Kao). As for Kao, I cackled out loud when she gave YakDee another Sleepless Sleepwear product to try. Kao remains a steady, wonderful presence for Dee who sometimes make questionable judgements.
Anyway, I am looking forward to see how the last 3 episodes will penned out (now we have Sazaki joining the gym, the brothers' dad making an appearance and it seems Yei's debt is finally out in the open!)

Not even 5 mins in, and Taem proves to be the bestest girl ever 🥹❤️
Such a wholesome friendship between Taem and Yak!!! Now I really want Taem to have her happily ever after too 🥰

In which we have many confessions (both wanted and unwanted), further (mis)communications and the sweetest proposal scene in BL land.
First thing, YeiCher owned this episode. These 2 just complement each other superbly. I’m sure we will see some conflict down the road with Yei hiding the debt of their boxing gym from Cher, but for now, I’m basking in joy with the fact we have YeiCher being formally engaged in a timely fashion to commerate with the Thai senate officially passing the bill to allow marriage equality in real life!
As for our YakDee…I’m a bit confused. Look, I am thrilled they made up quickly - Yak giving back that ugly necklace (it’s not to my aesthetic taste but I am definitely glad it made it back to Dee’s neck!), Dee informing Yak he no longer has any feelings for Dr Terrible plus Yak sweetly informing Dee “this hottest and most dashing boxer is yours.”
So…WHY ARE THEY STILL IN A FAKE BF relationship?? I initially thought I might have misunderstood the whole thing. However, when Dee asked Yak to accompany him to the hospital anniversary ball - Yak said “again?” And Dee saying otherwise he would accept Dr Terrible invitation to the ball.
And what made it clear these 2 adorkable idiots have yet to re-define their relationship properly is the conversation between Dee and his wise grandmother - she sensibly asked whether YakDee is still just FWB? And Dee said there is a dateline to their relationship? Maybe someone who is cleverer than me can explain this? - is it cause Dee is angling for the scholarship and thought he would have to leave Yak anyway??
Cause why will you cook for him, dry his hair, massage his aching legs in front of the whole gym, learn how to slow dance, take him to a fancy costume place and pick up a matching grooms outfit if you are both not in love with each other???
Despite my confusion about their relationship status, I did love the whole ballroom scene - from Yak dashing in last minute in time to ask for his prince for the dance, YakDee slow dancing and Yak finally confessing in words that he is in love with Dee. Does that mean they will finally be real boyfriends next episode? (Although from the preview, they are STILL NOT together as real boyfriends?)
Dr Terrible remains shameless and desperate. If I’m not mistaken, Dee rejected him 3 times in this episode alone - when he indirectly decline Terrible’s invitation to the ball by expressing he will be bringing his significant other, saying no when Terrible said he will dance with Dee because of Yak non-presence at the ball. And when that did not deter Terrible (he tried to kiss Dee! 😤), Dee bluntly say he has outgrown Terrible and only regards him as an older brother. However, Terrible has yet to learn his lesson - he left his date (Dr Khwan you deserves better) to again try his luck with Dee. So, I’m glad it seems Dr Khawn left him after Yak timely arrival to save his prince from the evil clutch of Terrible.
As for Taemrak, I do feel bad for her. It’s clear now she does have some feelings for Yak. I think pre-Dee, Taemrak might have taken for granted of Yak’s friendship and affection for her. He was always there for her with his easy banter. But with Dee around, Yak no longer txt/msg/meet up with her beyond school. Nevertheless, I’m glad she still trust Yak to come for her aid (although I must say, what a plot twist - didn’t think Ohm will be so nasty. And Yak, couldn’t you have told Dee why you had to leave him suddenly before the ball??) Like I say, (mis)communication seems to be the theme of this episode.
Overall, I like the episode. I was hoping for more of Dr Kao though, but YeiCher sweet scenes made up for Dr Kao’s absence. And 2 big thumbs up 👍 from me for their ongoing PSA re: HPV vaccine! ❤️

I’m glad Yak consciously chose not to kiss Taem although we can all tell she would have allowed him (but I do feel kinda bad for her🥹😅, cause she looked crushed and embarrassed)

What a rollercoaster ride
We have our 2 adorkable, idiotic love fools who are failing miserably at being fake BF
They play house together but of course, it's just because it's convenient (and nothing else)
They pinned/missed each other, but no...the sniff kisses, hugs and travelling 2 hours/or dropping everything the minute you return from boot camp to visit your fake BF is cause that's what friends do
They go on a family trip together with their surrogate Mom/Dad (and yes, I truly believe YeiCher has adopted Dee to their little family unit), but of course, Dee labelled their relationship as "comfortable" and nothing more!!!
The amount of time I want to reach out and strangle them and say "OPEN YOUR EYES", and kiss on the lips already!!!!
And then we have our sweet, loving YeiCher - my heart flutter with every scene. I love each moment we have of these two. From their scene being reunited after the boot camp and their first night together after being apart for so long, to the family trip with their adopted son(s) to YeiCher having a wonderful, romantic date by the riverbank.
I adore them. They have my heart and soul
Unfortunately, while YeiCher gives me all the joy, Dr Ter(rible) makes me snarl and hiss at the TV whenever he graces our presence on screen (no seriously, my poor cat jumped in fright when I shout out my frustration when I see this man on screen)
The audacity of the man to presume Dee will follow his lead and happily spend his precious time exploring Tokyo by delaying their flight back WITHOUT first confirming with Dee (who else hurled insults at Ter when he did this?)
Or when he caged Dee in the staff's breakroom to try and pressure Dee to change his mind?
And while Dee may think he still has feelings for Ter, his imagination tells me subconsciously he knows Ter is not the right person for him (the cringe when imaginary Dee was waiting for Ter to kiss him!!!)
On a more positive note, shout out to this episode for making another important PSA re: HPV vaccine!
Anyway, join me people while we make a circle and pray to the small figurine of GOODDY so that YakDee will finally get the push next episode to KISS ON THE LIPS and Ter(rible) gets his karma. Also, do anyone think Dr Kao will get a love interest?
Dee is not missing his fake BF ok? He is just staring longingly at his fake BF elephant 🐘 pants and talking to his small figurine about how much he is used to living alone (completely normal behaviour for someone NOT in a relationship)

Dr Ter is short for Terrible cause that’s what he has shown to us -
Time and time again he has shown to us viewers he disrespect Dee’s boundaries and presume Dee will fall back to adoring him
1) The audacity of the man to casually agree on behalf of Dee to present their work together (despite the obvious discomfort it causes Dee)
2) Assuming Dee will happily spend extra days with him exploring Tokyo and pushing back their flight dates
3) Pushing into his space without permission and basically making Dee confuse and wary
4) Even in Dee’s imaginative mind, it seems he is cringing while expecting the kiss from Ter (blergh 🤢)
5) And poor Dr Khwan, who has a gigantic crush on Ter but basically just being used by Ter
Leading me to say - LEAVE YAKDEE alone 😤
