Good on him!
Wandee Goodday, episode 11
I am puzzled by Dee's continue reticent to define his relationship with Yak as boyfriend. And now we have Yak trying to prove himself worthy? for Dee. I only have one question, why? Don't get me wrong, I think the whole sequence of Yak wooing Dee is super-cute (from the flowers and the outings). Dee also clearly cares loves Yak - he called Yak a "green flag" and declared to Terrible that Yak is his safe space. He also got Yak to see Kao (although that was unprofessional of Dee to get clinical information from Kao re: Yak diagnosis! SUPER BAD people, against the ethical code in medicine) and they continue to be disgustingly domestic with each other.
I am also confused about Dee continuing to deny Yak from kissing on the lips (of course by the end of the episode, we see them pashing each other) - so good of them? But it doesn't seem they are still in a proper relationship.
Contrary to my ambivalent feelings on how YakDee relationship is progressing, I continue to adore YeiCher and the close knit gym family unit. However, I am frustrated with Yei insistence in NOT telling Cher what is happening with the gym (and debt) - it is clear Cher wants to help share the burden and if anything, he is clearly the brain of the couple. It is also clear Yei has been sheltering Yak from knowing anything to do with the gym business. And now, we have the added complexity of the brother's absent father suddenly turning up (both brothers, but especially Yei has daddy issue).
Glad to see Dr Terrible (and Ohm) received their comeuppance this episode. Ohm perhaps more so than Terrible with him being handcuffed (and presumably expelled from uni) for the attempt sexual assault on Taem. Terrible also tried to assault Dee and I am pleased Yak decked him (cause he deserved it! Although I am not sure why YakDee did not complain Terrible to the hospital board (or police) for the assault). And I am also please Dr Khwan finally dump Terrible for good and find herself a better man.
On a more positive note, shout out to Taem and Kao - the best and most supportive besties our main couple can have! Taem may have feelings for Yak, but she is sensible enough to see the blossoming relationship between YakDee and gracefully bowed out (and for that, I really hope she finds an amazing partner in this series! Not gonna, lie, I was bummed when Sazaki has a lovely girlfriend as I was hoping he would get partner with Taem or Kao). As for Kao, I cackled out loud when she gave YakDee another Sleepless Sleepwear product to try. Kao remains a steady, wonderful presence for Dee who sometimes make questionable judgements.
Anyway, I am looking forward to see how the last 3 episodes will penned out (now we have Sazaki joining the gym, the brothers' dad making an appearance and it seems Yei's debt is finally out in the open!)
Dr Kao is exasperated y’all 😅
(in which he is representing every single person watching the show)

Plakao is a hero and Dee needs him more than he can possibly admit and he is suffering for us, y'all, so he better get a romance in return for taking care of Dee so well.
What a rollercoaster ride
We have our 2 adorkable, idiotic love fools who are failing miserably at being fake BF
They play house together but of course, it's just because it's convenient (and nothing else)
They pinned/missed each other, but no...the sniff kisses, hugs and travelling 2 hours/or dropping everything the minute you return from boot camp to visit your fake BF is cause that's what friends do
They go on a family trip together with their surrogate Mom/Dad (and yes, I truly believe YeiCher has adopted Dee to their little family unit), but of course, Dee labelled their relationship as "comfortable" and nothing more!!!
The amount of time I want to reach out and strangle them and say "OPEN YOUR EYES", and kiss on the lips already!!!!
And then we have our sweet, loving YeiCher - my heart flutter with every scene. I love each moment we have of these two. From their scene being reunited after the boot camp and their first night together after being apart for so long, to the family trip with their adopted son(s) to YeiCher having a wonderful, romantic date by the riverbank.
I adore them. They have my heart and soul
Unfortunately, while YeiCher gives me all the joy, Dr Ter(rible) makes me snarl and hiss at the TV whenever he graces our presence on screen (no seriously, my poor cat jumped in fright when I shout out my frustration when I see this man on screen)
The audacity of the man to presume Dee will follow his lead and happily spend his precious time exploring Tokyo by delaying their flight back WITHOUT first confirming with Dee (who else hurled insults at Ter when he did this?)
Or when he caged Dee in the staff's breakroom to try and pressure Dee to change his mind?
And while Dee may think he still has feelings for Ter, his imagination tells me subconsciously he knows Ter is not the right person for him (the cringe when imaginary Dee was waiting for Ter to kiss him!!!)
On a more positive note, shout out to this episode for making another important PSA re: HPV vaccine!
Anyway, join me people while we make a circle and pray to the small figurine of GOODDY so that YakDee will finally get the push next episode to KISS ON THE LIPS and Ter(rible) gets his karma. Also, do anyone think Dr Kao will get a love interest?
The amount of time I shout and groan watching Wandee Goodday - NOOOOOOOOOOOO Dr Ter, leave Dee alone!!
And Dr Kao remains the only person with brain in this show
Wandee Goodday, episode 6
Such a delightful episode
Our leading men continues their charade as FWB/fake boyfriends. However, it is clear to everyone but these loveable dorks that they are already in a commitment relationship with all its perk and familiarity without the label. They play house together and introduce their loves one to their respective significant. And to top it off, we have Yak playing the supportive boyfriend to Dr Dee's quest in winning everyone's heart and their mom for the scholarship (truly adorable)
I suspect both parties are not willing to move out of their fake bf label because its safer for their heart to not be in a commitment relationship (especially because Dee had his heart broken terribly after being in a one-sided crush for 7 years while Yak finds it easier to set his sight on an unattainable goal)
Dr Ter continues to be repressed and while I'm not 100% sure myself, it does seems he is subtly using Dr Khwan for his own benefit. The poor dr genuinely seems to be a decent person but has a gigantic crush on Dr Ter and he utilises this fully.
Cher and Oyei remains adorable. Cher jealously is wonderful to see cause previous episodes favours heavily on Oyei being the more invested of the couple. But this episode shows Cher is just as possessive and in love with Oyei (also, how could anyone resists a pouting Fluke?)
Dr Kao is a gem and I adore him. Drake plays him marvelously. He is somehow kooky but genuine and truly the best friend (and sex therapist) our leading couple could ever hope for. The Sleepless Sleepwear ??? - such a hoot.
But my heart and soul in this episode goes to Dee's grandmother - such a wonderful, supportive mother figure to Dee and you could tell they have a strong bond. And in the words of our 6-foot babygirl boxer "Your grandma is seriously cool."
Can't wait for episode 6!
Truly iconic 🫡✌️
Wandee Goodday, episode 5
What can’t this man do? He is an excellent psychiatrist/ sex therapist, truly the best friend anyone can have AND an enterprising entrepreneur 👏
I love this episode.
We learn more about Yak's past (and I didn't expect to be hit as soon as the episode started. But the way Dee comforted Yak during sleep reminded me so much of AkkAye in The Eclipse, so I'm not complaining). However, it does explain Yak's determination to graduate from university (and also shaped how Yak live his life. And I'm not sure whether other viewers noticed this, but I thought Yak has some innocence with the way he view relationship/life, which is such a juxtaposition with his more physical/aggressive job as a boxer)
I really like the progression of Yak and Dee's relationship. These 2 started of with such a good friendship and as they learn more about each other, their bond continues to go stronger. And it is interesting that these 2 are insisting they like other people when their friends and family saw how much gone they are for each other (even Taemrak, who Yak supposedly has a crush clocked on Dee wearing Yak's necklace!). Also, I will agree with Dr Kao (who is my pick for MVP this episode) that these 2 has gone beyond fake boyfriend.
Speaking of which, I absolutely adore Dr Kao. He = us (viewers) when he voiced out his thoughts to Dee. And the way he bluntly schooled Dr Ter when the latter can't keep his nose out of Dee's business (and his relationship with Yak) is amazing to watch!
Dr Ter continues to be jerk. And I may be reading this wrongly, but does it seems he is leading Dr Khawn? And he is perhaps in the closet himself? Anyway, it will be interesting to see what his angle may be - is he truly feeling jealous of YakDee relationship? Or feeling the sense of loss because Dee no longer worships him and he misses having someone boosting his ego?
On a plus side, I enjoy all the scenes involving YeiCher. It's clear they are super supportive for Yai and their family unit (it is a small unit but strong and full of love). More of them please!!!!
To close an almost perfect episode, the show top it off with a PSA regarding vaccination and safe sex practice (for that, this episode gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating from me!)
Bring on Episode 5! - I am hoping it will be about Dee's past (we got a hint of it previously and this episode focuses more on Yei and Yak's mom! But I am wondering what happened with the dad?)
Dr Kao speaking nothing but the truth 🫡💁🏻
Wandee Goodday, episode 4
In which Dr Kao is exasperated
(Truly the MVP of this episode, the poor man needs a raise - not only does he schooled Ter for being a busybody jerk, but now having to babysit his disaster best friend 😅🙃)
Wandee Goodday, episode 4
“He confessed to me recently and few days later, introduce a new boyfriend. Isn’t that too fast?” - Ter
Wandee Goodday, episode 4
Gosh, Dee. You are so you, man! Why do you complicate the thing that's already complicated?
Plakao is truly the best wingman of all time. I adore him and support him in everything he does.
And Ter is a jealous bitch. Who deserves worse.
Again. Plakao is just the finest bestie and wingman of all time who's on Dee's side no matter what. Love him. Love that for him.
The absolute best character. What a hero for the ages. What a wonderful man who knows exactly what is going on here and isn't going to let it happen if he can help it.
🖕 is a love language for best friends
Wandee Goodday Episode 3
I’m not sure how to feel about this episode - on one hand, I actually like how the whole FWB between Dee and Yok are going.
They are slowly learning about each other.
But the whole fake boyfriend thing with Dee pushing on Yak to basically put himself out there when he is not (yet) ready to do so did leave a slight sour taste in my mouth. On a more positive note, Dee did back down eventually but of course, our smitten (and kind-hearted, marshmallow) boxer caved in and the whole contract-fake BF thing is done! At least, I’m sure this will make them understand each other better and I can’t wait to see Dee falls hard for Yak.
However, i love the glimpses of Dr Kao and Dr Dee’s friendship - the former is loyal and smart, and always ready to back Dee up.
Similarly, you can see a strong familial bond fill with warmth and love (coupled with gentle teasing and sight violence, after all they are boxers) between Yak, his brother and Cher (the latter is super cute!!!)
And we are also slowly learning about our 2 leading men (and their trauma) - Dee and his visceral reaction at the cross road, a flashback of his parents involved in a fatal MVA? Or how about Oyei (and Yak) smoothly avoid talking about their parents?
It’s also interesting to see how they use the scholarship and hospital politics/gossiping staff members as the background that will perpetuate our two leading men forward. But it is somehow topical, and as someone who works in the medical field - I can say for sure, connections and popularity (or at least how you are perceived by your colleagues) do play a role when you want to move upwards with your career.
Anyway, despite my ambivalent feeling with this episode, I’m still intrigued and can’t wait for episode 4! (Also, I’m sure WE all clocked on the fact that Yak did not take back his necklace nor did Dee offered to give it back when they “break it off”) - it speaks to their subconscious desire, yes? And it’s definitely speaks volume to Dr Kao and Yak’s lovely family unit!
Wandee Goodday Episode 2
The progression of Dee and Yak’s relationship continues to be a delight - from one night stand to Yak being Dee’s saviour to reluctant buddies and we end with them starting FWB relationship (although I think it’s just an excuse for these 2 to role play 😂👏)
It’s clear Yak has fallen hard for Dee. But Dee having just come out of an 8 years one-sided pining is too hurt to contemplate any thoughts of serious relationship. But hey, at least Dee knows he is sexually compatible (and super comfortable) with Yak (look, I won’t even go into the serious medico-legal breach these 2 are committing 🫣🙃, cause having a relationship with your patient is a big NO in any country)
I’m also glad to see Dee standing up to Ter (such a jerk)
Also, love the small glimpse of our 2 leading men family’s life and dynamic!
And such a pleasure to see tidbits from “The Eclipse” making an appearance
But I’m tad bit disappointed we have so little of Dr Kao this episode, and I’m hoping we will see him more next episode!
Bring on episode 3!!!!!!!
