Keep your hands off Hallownest!
Hello, my name is momen alostaz, a Palestinian from Gaza. I write these words with a heart heavy with sadness and sorrow. My family, consisting of ten members, is now living under unimaginable conditions after the recent war. My father, who suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure, is struggling to get his much-needed medication, while my mother, who also suffers from high blood pressure, becomes more anxious with every bad news coming from Gaza.

Before and After the War:
The *first photo* I share with you shows our home in Gaza before the bombing. Our life was simple but full of love and safety. We would gather every day around the dinner table, laugh, and talk about our dreams, while the voices of children filled the house with joy.
But everything changed. The *second photo* shows our home after the bombing. Nothing is left. Every corner, every wall that once held memories is now just rubble. My parents, who used to care for us with love, are now unable to provide even the most basic needs. My family no longer has a home. They have been forced to live in a small tent that neither protects them from the heat nor the cold in Deir al-Balah. They sleep on the ground, without warmth or security.
During the bombing, five of my family members were severely injured. I can never forget the sound of my little sister crying out for help, nor the look on my brother's face as he tried to save our family from the rubble. And with all these physical wounds, the greatest wound is what has been inflicted upon their spirits.
My Brother and His Children’s Health:
My brother Ahmed lives in northern Gaza, in a situation no less tragic. He has three children: Amir, Malak, and Mohammed. Amir, just three years old, suffers from a severe skin disease due to living in the tent under the scorching sun, and he can’t sleep at night due to the pain. I cannot describe the helplessness my brother feels, watching his son suffer, unable to help him.
As for Mohammed, the child who once filled the house with laughter and energy, he is now silent. Mohammed has polio and cannot get the treatment he desperately needs. Each day that passes, his condition worsens, and with each passing day, our family’s suffering deepens.
Where is Safety?
I cannot describe to you the pain and suffering my family is enduring under fear and darkness. How can they sleep on cold ground, with broken spirits and bodies? We live with this sense of helplessness, wondering when safety and comfort will return to our family.
Please help Momen spread her campaign.

Hello,
my name is Reham Tayseer, I am 23 years old.I write to you from the heart of suffering, destruction, hunger, and displacement in Gaza. My life was beautiful and normal, full of hope, dreams, and hard work until the war came and destroyed everything.
Before the war, I was studying Public Relations and Media at Al-Aqsa University in Gaza, and I was also working in design and editing for a company in Gaza. I had many wishes and dreams. I lived a simple but beautiful life and dreamed of a bright and beautiful future. But the war changed everything for the worse. My university was destroyed,
I lost my job, my house was destroyed, I lost family members, and I lost everything and became homeless.
I was displaced from northern Gaza to the south, thinking it was a safe place, but there is no safe place in Gaza; everything around us was destroyed and became rubble. Every day we live in a nightmare, with no opportunities for education or work, and I suffer from poverty, loss, hunger, and homelessness.
I am now looking for an opportunity to live in a safe place outside the Gaza Strip, but this is very costly, and I am in dire need of your support and assistance. I want to provide a better future and a dignified life for myself my family.I believe that humanity and compassion still exist and that someone will respond to my painful voice. Every donation, no matter how small, will have a significant impact on my life. Your donations will help cover all the travel costs for me, my mother, and my father to live in a safe and stable place where there is no hunger, fear, or destruction, to give myself and my family a new life full of hope.Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting me and my family and standing with us in these difficult times. I believe that goodness still exists and that someone shares our hope for a better life.Thank you for considering supporting me and my family. I am grateful for any help you can provide.
To the free people of the world
In the midst of the ongoing humanitarian crisis, I turn to you for urgent assistance. My name is Mohammed Helles, and I am writing to you to highlight the tragic situation my family and countless others are facing in Gaza.
As the world watches, Gaza descends into a horrific conflict, with innocent lives being lost every day. The atrocities committed are unimaginable, with families torn apart and their futures shattered.
Me, my wife and my children fell into this nightmare. Every moment is a battle for survival, with the constant threat of violence. We dream of nothing more than escaping this hellish reality and finding safety and refuge elsewhere.
Please open your hearts to our suffering. Your support could mean the difference between life and death for my family and countless others like us.
How can the heart and mind of children as young as three years old bear all this pain, from famine, to violent bombing, displacement, and high temperatures?
The twins, Mayar and Ahmed, are 3 years old. Ahmed suffers from a head disease that cannot tolerate high temperatures. He lives in a tent and needs treatment. 💔💔
Mayar has developed a severe allergy in her body, and she needs ointment and clean water. Help Ahmed and Mayar get out of Gaza, get treatment, live their lives, and enjoy their childhood. Please donate, and if you can’t, share this post.💔🙏🏻
do not forget about reservations.
do not forget about the people on reservations.
when you are making and reading posts about dire predictions for quality of life, do not forget about reservations.
we already have issues accessing clean water. we already experience devastation from climate change. we are already going missing for our race. we are already being murdered for our culture.
it will only get worse.
it’s possible to live through. every single person indigenous to north america has a chance to live through this. i’m not trying to fear monger; i’m trying to remind you.
please do not forget about us when you assure people that “everything will be okay; people are living under far worse circumstances in other countries”.
people are living under far worse circumstances here. and it can get worse. and it will get worse. and we need you to remember that we’re here when it happens.
not as punchy, but adding onto this:
What are Indigenous issues that I and the Natives I know are worried about?
- Pipelines affecting water
- Pipelines destroying protected land/land under treaty
- Pipelines are already factually epicenters of the MMIW+ crisis
- Substance abuse and suicide rates
- Directly related to the above, IHS funding
- Tariffs affecting gaming revenue, which is often used significantly in our communities’ funding
- Not a huge systemic issue, but a bummer: no more Native secretary of the interior
- ICWA. holy fuck. ICWA.
- The DoE only being allowed to teach sanitized genocide-denial schlock.
anyone who says "X can't happen here!": it is already happening here. and if it isn't now, it has in the past and can again.
Howdy folks, the Senate will be considering the first ever resolution blocking arms to Israel. This is huge and historic; it would block government contracting and about $20 billion in arms and support. This is an uphill battle, PLEASE urge your senators to support S.J.Res114-115. This is maybe the most important piece of legislation relating to Palestine that we have ever gotten and we must seize this opportunity.
This doc has information on the resolutions and their process, as well as sample messages and a phone script you can use. Please, use this moment to hear witness for your neighbors.
This is a massive call to action even if you live in a blue state! You cannot simply trust that your senator will do the right thing here. They need to hear that we still care even if the election is behind us.
urgent
making this post to support the campaign of @kawlafamily7 who is @fidaa-family2 ‘s sister
kawla has three young children. her daughter was injured from falling shrapnel and rubble and also has a glucose allergy. she needs special milk without glucose which is very expensive.
“She needs glucose-free soda milk, and her growth is bad so far. Her teeth will not grow due to allergies and lack of growth, and she is one and a half years old.”
please take a second to share and donate to this campaign. people are living in unbearable conditions, every donation makes a difference
$8,372 out of $20,000
How long will we stay in this war? How long will we continue to endure death, destruction, fear, torture and heartbreak?💔
What is my children's fault in all this? They are innocent children. We live in fear. We suffer from the ravages of war. Please be with us, support us, and donate for the benefit of my children. War is cruel, and I cannot do anything but protect them with my body from the cold and fear.

ok last thing. but what people fundamentally need to get through their heads is the significance of gaza fundraisers not being the same as like mutual aid when you're helping someone get groceries, because it is a genocide. there is insane deliberate scarcity and prices are unmanageable, because there is nowhere nearly enough for everyone, so only people who can pay can eat. and what positioning individual fundraisers as the only course of action does is quite simply give a tiny percentage of random people whose fundraisers take off the ability to pay those prices while thousands of others can't. and every one of those thousands of people without a fundraiser is suffering through the same inconceivably horrific reality. it is giving a few completely desperate people out of hundreds of thousands a slightly more favorable position in a horrific war economy of imposed scarcity. and what grassroots community kitchens do is try to mitigate in some small way that inconceivable hierarchy of who can pay and who can't, by stretching ingredients as far as they can last to cook meals at large scale and give them out at no cost. and obviously people are still going to send money to their friends and families because this is hell what else are we supposed to do but please just think about that before promoting endless individual fundraisers as somehow the most ethical way to help
Operation Olive Branch has a spreadsheet dedicated to mutual aid, local distro, community kitchens, etc. in Gaza.
This is a good place to start if seeking to donate to a community resilience action. Just contact the group(s) directly to make sure they are still active. Life in Gaza and Palestine is full of uncertainty.
^this is literally what op is saying isn't helpful though. there is scarcity and it is man-made. donating to a community kitchen in gaza will help that specific kitchen and take food away from other people. there is literally not enough because aid is not let in. money will not cause food to materialize in gaza
the best ways to help palestine are donating to organizations, political activism, social activism
also (this wouldn't matter if op wasn't right but considering that they are), the rise of posting fundraisers has killed all other palestine posting on this site. we don't see anything about current events or any other actions. the palestine tag is almost unusable
No actually it is exactly what i am saying that you should donate to community aid kitchens because then they buy at bulk for lower prices and stretch ingredients to distribute meals cooked at large scale for free instead of that same food only being available to a tiny number of people at extortionate prices. with big humanitarian aid programs rendered inoperable by the occuption, grassroots community kitchens are some of the ONLY social institutions left to try to serve people with any measure of equity. A call for help for abood and Maria in Gaza!!! All thanks and gratitude for your humanitarian stances with us, and we
assistance in this difficult time. Tenth months of displacement and famine have exacerbated our suffering and difficulties beyond belief. We used all the words of sadness and sorrow to describe the situation we had reached, but such words were not enough. The scale of the tragedy and suffering is much greater than what you may have seen or seen on several social media

📍Helping Lama & Mohammed to evacuate from Gaza 🍉🇵🇸🇵🇸
I'm Lama Al-Hourani, 24 years old, administrative assistant from Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip and my husband Mohammed, 30 years, an accountant for Elites Centers Group in the Gaza Strip.
We married in August 2022, our lives are filled with love, happiness and comfort in a beautiful, quiet, spacious and warm house that has never lacked anything of all the requirements and luxury and this house was like everything we had. Life turned upside down in Khan Yunis ground war.
My husband's family of 12 people and I had to be forcibly displaced to the city of Rafah without anything in a tent that does not accommodate five people in a cold and harsh winter with the difficult possibilities of life without income and all the necessities of life are 20 times the price of more than its normal price.
On the 120th day of the war, our beautiful house was bombed, which I did not live in for more than two years. The family house of six floors has settled on the floor and we only have some beautiful memories and some pictures left.
My husband lost his job because of the occupation blowing up the centers in the Gaza branch and Khanyonis, and we lost the beautiful family car as well, and I stopped working as well because of this grinding war.
We became homeless and jobless. Help us get out of Gaza. Every dollar makes a difference and saves our lives.

Hello, I am Maha, Ratiba’s daughter, from Gaza. I funded this link to help my family
I am Ratiba Al-Shaer,I am 54 years old, My husband died, and I remained responsible for meeting the needs of my children, Day and night, I became a father and a mother to them. It is a difficult task and a great responsibility after I used to live in comfort, and my husband was responsible for everything, but he died and left me and my children, and we have no source. He entered, the world became dark in my face, but I was determined to be strong and not to surrender for their sake.
I have four children:
Abed, Mohamad, Ahmed, and my daughter Maha.
We had a beautiful little house with many beautiful details and love and wonderful family bonding.
My children always looked forward to the weekend to spend a fun day somewhere and have a good time together
As the days pass and the displacement takes place, the situation gets worse for us
The war has stripped us of everything.
The home of our dreams, the safety and the sense of security that once supported us. Our world has turned into a struggle for daily survival. Even the basics of life such as food, water and medicine are difficult to obtain. Even education and their future have been halted due to the constant threat, bombing, destruction and genocide.
After October 7, this damned war forced us to leave our home and give up everything we had. We moved to places that were supposed to be safe, but they became dangerous. We were forced to continue moving from one place to another in search of safety for my children, and I have not yet found a safe place.
We live in a tent in this bitter cold,I could not get clothes for my children from under the rubble of my house. And they feel very cold
Currently, we have lost everything we have. I only have my children
Please, as you read this, think about the difference you can make. It's not just about saving lives; It is about restoring the dignity and hope that war stole. Your contribution can be a lifeline that saves a monotonous family and gives my children a chance in a world where their future is not determined by fear.
Rather, loving and caring for those who stand with them in their most difficult times, continuing their education and feeling safe
I ask everyone to donate and help save my family and get us out of Gaza.

Hello my friends
I am speaking to you today as we approach the year of the continuation of the fierce war that has not spared any stone or human beings.
I am speaking to you from the heart of the suffering of the displacement camps, where I have recently completed displacement 6 times here in the middle of Deir al-Balah.
Where there is famine, where there is a water cut-off, where there is no source of potable water, and if it is available, our share is very small and is not enough for my family of 7 people.
We live in the midst of the ongoing hellish war in Gaza, trapped between walls of fear and despair.
I am speaking to you from the tent, whose heat is unbearable and its cold as well, as we have completed all the seasons in the tents.
Really I need your support more and your support for my family more. The war is ongoing and my family is a trust with you if anything bad happens to me. Thank you.
We urgently appeal for your moral and financial assistance to cover the necessary costs for escaping to a safe environment, where we can build a better future for our children and ensure our family's safety.
We are in desperate need of your support. Any donation, no matter how small, can help save our lives. Thank you for your attention and support during these harsh times.

Hey, the ACLU is getting people to send letters to your Reps to have Congress pass the No Kings Act.
This act would make constitutional amendments to ensure that even sitting presidents are held liable for their actions. That NOBODY is above the law.
Their goal is 150k messages sent and at the time of writing this they're about 2.1k off from that goal!
ACLU gives you a prefilled message that you can edit to send to make the process easier, and will send it out for you.
This only takes a few minutes!
