i like chainsaw man and all and i definitely agree fujimoto is hinged to one side exactly, but i keep clicking on "fujimoto is insane!!" videos and they're all like
"He's a genius.... look at the artwork it makes you feel emotions without needing dialogue..."
and it's like, guys............. that's..... that's the baseline guys that's what someone good at art do...... if you can't do that you probably won't get very far in longform comics......
like, people add extra dialogue to try and increase the chances of people understanding the emotion, but there's a lot of pages if you remove the dialogue you'll definitely get the vibe all the same. A lot of people are working in teams so one person writes the script and the other person draws the draw, so the writer puts more dialogue to help the draw person. If you have someone drawing their own script you're more likely to get pages that are dialogue-free because they know already what they're going to draw that won't need the dialogue. That's.
again, I like chainsaw man, I just feel like the people making these videos have like... never experienced a moderate to good comic before.
