Most comics timelines don’t include the IMPORTANT things. Things like when people start dating, when they call their unofficial sibling ‘little brother’ for the first time, or when they switch to that REALLY bad costume you love to hate.

This timeline is different. It doesn’t include ‘major’ events - boring things like alien invasions, or near-apocalypses - unless they actually have long term effects on the heroes. Instead, it focuses on the interpersonal and internal events - first team-ups, how long characters take to actually adopt their codenames, and when they started hiding in the basement trying to clone their dead best friend. The type of stuff you want to know if you write fanfic.

It’s also very centred around the teen heroes’ lives. Especially the original Teen Titans and Young Justice members. So Ollie only shows up when he’s being a good (or more often, bad) parent, or dying. But I hope to include every nanny Lian has had, and when she had them.

It’s still in its early stages. So much stuff I haven’t remembered to add, yet. And I’d love help with the romantic data - I don’t CARE about icky kissing, so I haven’t been collecting that info for the last decade.

I’ve now detangled the timeline of Bart’s Scouts! They’re energy duplicates I now discover that he only had for 4 issues of his series (after which he was too traumatized to use them). But since they showed up without explanation in Young Justice, I’ve been curious about them for 20 years!

Also added some events from Adventure Comics, after Kon’s return from the dead. And more Red Robin.

I have incredible news.

If you missed it I am a queer trans latine disabled jew and my parents placed me in various facilities that failed the burrito test. But now? I’m free, and currently living with my step mom who had nothing to do with it.

Now, she doesn’t really have the money to keep me ESPECIALLY because I still need special food due to allergies and some of my meds Cost Money, so I’m not out of the woods yet in needing help.

Thank you if you can spread this around or help

(9267)

I will soon be heading back to the parents who locked me up in the first place. I would really appreciate if you could donate or share so I can be as settled as possible when I get there.

I am now with said parents. They are not happy about having to feed me because it’s “too complicated” with my allergies and dietary restrictions, so I still need help if you can possibly donate or share

Oh so the new retcon is Nick Fury as portrayed by Samuel Jackson is the son of comics Nick Fury, but must more closely resemble his mother looks-wise because the only similarity I'm seeing in how their faces are drawn here is the beards, and they coincidentally have matching eye injuries?

The eye injury is genetic.

Watching the three body problem on Netflix finally and I keep tripping over just

>this is the most realistic thing ever! It's like I'm actually there! You can taste the dirt! You can smell people!!!

>cgi ass horse

on one hand I don't dislike clarence. on the other hand I cannot believe they made Big Shi a soft spoken "this job is about protecting people" kim possible ass middle aged wade.

Where is my bad cop! Where is jerkass with a point!!!

watching 3 body problem again

  1. i take it back. part of what was really poignant about Da Shi was that he was employed by the same government that imprisoned, tortured, and ruled Ye Wenjie's life, and his awareness of his complicity, his open willingness to threaten and disrepect even his own superiors gave him a strange position of being a 'bad' cop (the system itself also doesn't like him but he's made himself valuable) while also having the implicit threat of still being in and ultimately backed by a system we've already been told of the potential abuses of, and even though things are better than they were, the cloud of those actions hangs heavily throughout interactions. When you change the modern setting to England, the British government is not the same government that tormented Ye Wenjie, and Clarence is suddenly a good cop-- it becomes just another 'oh, but it was the chinese government that did all those things-- we, the british government/special forces, are simply doing our best to serve The Greater Good with a stiff upper lip.' Clarence does not occupy the same uncertain space as Da Shi, who is (and knows he is) a mechanism in a bigger, more dangerous machine: but he is also not necessarily trying to crush you. He may even warn you to get out of the way.
  2. they did not even let ye wenjie kill her husband she did NOT fuck that old man
  3. if they handwave a cure for pancreatic cancer i'm going to lose my shit

First contact does not go well. Unless you ask a Kryptonian, who would tell you that this contact was actually very exciting. Never before had they discovered a species that looked so similarly to themselves! The whole Thinkers guild is just about buzzing with questions, so, of course, they have the humans send information over, but you can't exactly trust a lower species to study themselves properly. The Kryptonians will have to do that themselves. Of course, Earth isn't exactly a prime location to do such research-- it's crawling with irritants and germs, different gravity and atmospheric baselines, and the local labs are not exactly up to standards.

So of course the simplest option is to bring a sample specimen to Krypton.

The timing is incredible, really. Their other pet project is just about at the right age to start genetic experiments, too.

god i hope the cpsc takes the shot. i think this would dramatically change their entire business model. amazon makes so much money by selling defective or mislabeled or just plain dangerous products and then faces little liability because this stuff is actually being sold by random third-party sellers that don't get vetted at all and can be hard to prosecute because they're in china or wherever. this is a big part of what makes amazon so powerful and it would be good for everyone if they were forced to bear more responsibility for the damages caused by the crap available on their website

Here's the link if someone can paste the article into the reblogs

www.wsj.com WSJ News Exclusive | Should Amazon Be Responsible for Everything It Sells and Ships? A U.S. Agency Will Soon Decide Dana Mattioli and Khadeeja Safdar is facing a government order that could make it responsible for the safety of goods that it sells for outside vendors on its website and ships for them through its logistics network. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is preparing an order that could classify Amazon’s online retail business as a distributor of goods, according to people familiar with the matter. That designation could give Amazon the same safety responsibilities as traditional retailers and potentially open Amazon up to lawsuits and extensive recalls over items sold through its website. Amazon accounts for nearly 40% of all e-commerce in the U.S., according to eMarketer, a research firm. Amazon has fought the distributor designation because of the nature of its online marketplace. The company sells some items from its own inventory, as bricks-and-mortar stores do, but more than 60% of sales on Amazon.com are by outside vendors, known as third-party sellers. Amazon has said that it invests in product safety across its site. It also has argued that for those third-party sales it is merely a platform for sellers and buyers to connect, and therefore isn’t responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products sold by outside vendors on its site.

Note that it is not an accident that this is happening now. One of the things Biden has made a point of doing is appointing aggressive and anti-corporate people to Federal agencies, such as the Consumer Product Safety Commission. There have been a string of rulings and rule changes from such agencies that have been good for the average American and/or good for labor unions, but bad for the big corporations.

UPDATE: Amazon is officially a distributor who is legally responsible to recall dangerous defective products! The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued the decision and order on 7/30/24 by a commission chair nominated by Biden in 2021. Democrats are the party of consumer safety and improving lives.

it’s so crucial to me in this that the bit is very much that he is absolutely Not Helping. He’s here to be decorative, goth, and drink wine. He still wanders off for his own things but he's got nothing better to do so he’s chilling with some rookies and only fighting people in the strawhat fights when they are directly attacking him or in his way.

The WG has never been more stressed out.

Every day Zoro tries to kill him.

"I can still smell you" is something Clark has definitely said at some point while Bruce was lurking in the dark wearing a special suit that concealed his heartbeat and breathing

oh absolutely. also i don't know if clark ever told bruce this but it's birthright canon that clark can see the life-aura of living things. i don't think bruce can invent a suit that hides that

In another momentary attempt to have a slightly more active fandom experience (and potentially avoid some censorship what with the whole. Tags on that there fic) I have made a bluesky account.

I did not enjoy twitter the brief few times I looked at it but hypothetically "good twitter" was already dead in 2019 so. We'll see how this goes.
