Can you imagine Ichabod Crane and Seeley Booth solving a mystery together? What about Dr. Temperance Brennan working with Abbie Mills?

Well, get ready to see exactly that. Because EW has learned that Fox is planning to make mind-bending crossover episodes between Sleepy Hollow and Bones!

That’s right, history-mining fantasy thriller Sleepy Hollow is being creatively meshed with the long-running crime-solving dramedy Bones to crossover characters. The crossover will be across two episodes, one on each show.

Initially, the idea was for planned to happen early this fall. Yet due to the complicated logistics involved, the crossover is now being planned for later in the 2015-16 season.

Story details, including which characters would appear in each episode, have not yet been disclosed—but the mind reels at the possibilities. Usually crossovers are done between very similar programs, often existing in the same storytelling universe — like among the NCIS or CSI franchises. Taking two very creatively different series and shuffling them together will likely be a must-watch experiment for fans of both.

The shows are airing back-to-back on Thursday nights this fall, making them partners on the schedule too. Bones and Sleepy Hollow return Thursday, Oct 1.

where phyrne fisher, in her fabulous forties and always willing to help another girl out, sees the young peggy carter breaking in somewhere at a diplomatic function and covers for her without question, and then invites her back to a lovely dinner at her hotel, no strings attached, for a friendly chat between girls. and also because phryne knows how to pick locks faster than that in her sleep, and has a lovely pair of earrings she wants to pass on to peggy, because she can always get more earrings, but young women breaking into places they shouldn’t be and are that close to nobody noticing deserve to be gifted with nice lockpick earrings.  

and peggy is an agent now, she’s a professional, and she shouldn’t have been caught by a rich socialite at a party, but phryne is charming and genuinely interested in peggy’s life, and phryne knows exactly when she’s lying and looks like she loves it. phryne thinks she’s wonderful and smart and tells her so. peggy’s had to listen to so many people call her sweetheart and darling for so long, talk down to her, call her stupid, but this woman is calling her amazing and brilliant and covered for her even though she didn’t know anything about the mission, and it’s so… nice. 

and then they go back to phryne’s hotel and have the most excellent of sex
