these two posts are in a very loving relationship

[ID: an image created with the app "Whisper." It features a person looking to the left with overlaid text: "race is just a number"]
Check for understanding:
- What phrase is being alluded to in the image's text?
- Can race be reasonably described as "just a number?" Why or why not?
- How is Blizzard Entertainment's Overwatch relevant to this post?
Accurate
Inaccurate when I say I’m not very political it’s because I’m not. I’m a libertarian that leans conservative but politics bore me.
The next post on this dudes blog is about how women are naturally inferior

MISINFORMATION!
3 BIG NOTES
I don't care if it's the best TV show of all time. I cannot be tricked into consuming a cartoon about league of legends.
It’s loosely inspired by league of legends.
Imagine Spiderverse style animation with a plot about class differences, civil war, when it’s okay to abandon morals for the greater good, and how much evil someone can do before they’re not family anymore. Then throw in two gay situationships and the greatest soundtrack you’ve ever heard.
If that’s not your thing, that’s cool. Don’t disregard it just cause it’s league of legends tho.
YOU CANNOT TRICK ME
"lying is wrong" what evangelical nonsense is this???
listen to me. lying is morally neutral. and for many people in shitty situations it's a survival tactic.
lying in order to cause harm is often wrong, because causing harm is generally wrong. lying is also done for a myriad of other reasons, including because it isn't safe to speak truth, or because privacy is a thing and damn what an incredibly invasive question to ask in the first place.
truth is earned, my friend.
also, sometimes lying is funny. sometimes it saves time. sometimes it's easier, sometimes it accomplishes a goal, sometimes the truth is nobody's business, or is tricky to articulate, or you don't know what the truth is but are expected to have an answer regardless. sometimes you just straight up want people to stop bothering you. sometimes lying is an experiment to see how much you can get away with. sometimes you just want to be a little mean, yeah.
and in none of these situations is lying automatically "right" or "wrong" it is simply a tool that people will use, and that you will have to make your own decisions about based on situation and context.
climb out of the dark pit of assigning moral values to neutral behaviors. that's puritan thinking that's got its greedy fangs in you, rip 'em out by the root
i say this with love: yall will make yourselves feel bad about fucking anything, i swear to god. you feel bad about feeling too much. you feel bad about feeling too little. you feel bad about what makes you feel good. you feel bad about not knowing what you like. you feel bad for not being able to survive easily in a world hostile to you. you feel bad for the tactics that you use to survive. you feel bad for how you identify. you feel bad for being unique. you feel bad for experiences that you share with millions of people. you suspect that every feeling, experience, desire, fear, and question in your brain is somehow evidence that you don't deserve to exist.
i can be so so reassuring about all of these things but ultimately you are the one that's gonna have to make a conscious choice to stop measuring yourself in these ways. there is no authority who gets to determine whether you have the right to exist or not. you already do. there is no body that votes on whether you get to feel, identify, or think as you do. you already do. your existence as it is is non-negotiable. stop trying to justify yourself. you're already here. the world is going to have to deal with it anyway.

The funniest homophobia I ever experienced was a Mormon lady at my work telling me she would accept me being gay because we have to get along as coworkers but I really should consider not being gay because gay people have sex like animals (especially gay men) and she just couldn't stop thinking about it and how gross we are. She started really getting distressed, near tears, and saying 'I can't stop thinking about it. I can't stop." over and over and miming some kind of sex acts with her hands and I was like ?????? What is happening???? One of the other Mormon ladies had to come over and pat her on the back and help her sit down to help her calm down and our boss gave her the afternoon off due to being too upset to work.
I also cant stop thinking about gay sex at work but i never get the afternoon off because of it :c
death of subcultures and death of third places are directly connected and you can’t convince me otherwise
Instead of subcultures now, we have "aesthetics" because when you can't create a community, all that's left is appearing to be in one
Goth is a musical subculture because people met up at gigs and venues that played goth music. How do you know if it's goth music? Are goths there? Then it's goth music.
And yes they irl argued about what songs the venue should or shouldn't play and if things were goth enough to count but now they're arguing online about what should be on someone's personal spotify playlist and that's so lame. Leave the house.
You fall asleep face down on the floor ONE TIME and they never let you forget
