Have you heard that Mike Flanagan´s is making a TV show based on Carrie? What do you think of it?
Ooooh, yeah. I really enjoyed Flanagan's take on the Haunting of Hill House, so I'm cautiously optimistic, but the logline for the series is... interesting. I'm worried about three things mostly:
1) They'll lean too heavy on the '76 film
2) They'll lean into the Carrie-is-a-demon interpretation—which is actually the worst
3) They'll butcher Sue's character.
Flanagan writes really good tumultuous families, though, so I'd be willing to bet we'll get a good take on Carrie and Margaret's relation. I am very interested in following the production of this series. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.
