Life update: hopelessly in love with the cashier at my local bookstore
I regret to inform you that I am, officially, back on my bullshit*
*and by bullshit I mean compulsively buying books in a vain attempt to drown out the fact that I have no social life
Me: writes an entire ed paper shit talking the AP program and highlighting all of its flaws

(but like real talk my prof could either wholeheartedly agree with me, or he could kick me out of uni so I guess we’ll wait and see)

When I was in 11th grade this girl told me that I should be “sacrificed to the AP gods” so that other students could pass..
And I’m not trying to insinuate that her sacrificing me is the reason why I failed my AP lit exam....
But also?? Could I blame it on that??
Like “I couldn’t possibly have passed because there was a symbolic sacrifice preventing it” seems like a logical excuse to me...

Say it with me folks! If I get relayed to one more academic faculty advisor who avoids helping me with my class error by trying to shuffle my questions to another faculty, I’m going to FUCKING LOSE IT! (in a frustrated but respectful manner of course 🙂)
Why has it taken me months to finish reading Lolita you may ask? Because, after I read anything that Humbert says, I have to stop and spend 10 minutes repressing the urge to tear my book to shreds.
Moral of the story- if I could choose any character to bring to life, I would choose Humbert Humbert solely so that I could personally drop kick him back into hell.
My biggest dilemma atm (you know, besides corona) is trying to decide whether to preorder midnight sun or wait and hope that my local bookstore reopens before the release date.
Not sure what that says about me... plz help. Plz.
