hi! thank you for bringing this to my attention and for alerting all the other writers who have been affected by this. my heart goes out to all of them, as they have gotten their work STOLEN and reposted without their permission onto another website for views and clicks. i'm not sure which writers may or may not have given permission but i certainly didn't and will never give my permission for my writing to be posted by someone else.
i also want to highlight how HARMFUL this is to writers as a whole. i no longer write reader-insert stories and have not written reader-insert in a very long time. i have actively taken steps to move my blog away from being focused on reader-insert and on other things. i leave those stories up on my tumblr though because i know how much people enjoy them and i find that they can be a gateway for people to exploring more aspects of hockey fandom. i want my blog to be welcoming for everyone who wants to join, even if they don't enjoy the same things i like to blog about, and those fics are often how people find their first connections to hockey. they're also how i archive my writing and my writing growth, no matter how much i might dislike some of them. HOWEVER, this doesn't mean i want to be associated with those fics on a regular basis nor do i want people to come to my blog with the expectation of getting fics like that from me. i think that it's my right, as a writer, to be able to move on from that, and reposting my work like this hurts that. i am not able to creatively move on from these fics because someone else has decided FOR ME that i am okay with these being advertised. that's not okay.
